  1. How come everytime my computer screen goes to sleep my sound screws up? like either it will say no sound and ill have to switch back to digital outpout (DP 1.4) i even had to rollback drivers one time, and right now my system trays tweeking out and the sound keeps switching from realtek to digital output????
  2. Yeah so basically it can use up to 8gb of my regular ram if it maxes out my 8gb vram. Cause I was honestly thinking about that before I seen this on my computer.
  3. So I have a 2070 super 8gb. does the shared memory mean that if needed more than the 8gb that up to 8gb of my system memory can be used for graphics
  4. I got a Acer Nitro XZ272U Pbmiiphx it’s a VA panel curved, is it normal for like whenever I move my cursor in FO:76 not the whole screen but like just the sky in game sims and comes back sims when I move bright when I still, is this due to the response time? i can play with the settings on the monitor and when I turn on “graphic mode” it’s almost non existent. this isn’t like a “omg I’m returning” this thing, since it only happens in certain modes, and lucky enough that those modes are the actual good modes that make the picture look better lol. It’s a 4ms response time free sync with g sync enabled
  5. Alright so I got a high refresh display today 165hz I have a 2070super and run at 1440p ultra on Fo 76, I get steady 85fps, not complaining there it’s smooth plays good, but if I drop my refresh rate on nividia control panel from 165 to 144 my frames in game will go down to 60 then I drop it to 100 and they drop to 40-50? Why? It’s not under what I’m displaying currently so I shouldn’t affect my frames? I would like to run high fps but I just don’t think it can handle more( my GC it boost over 1900 MHz) I can run 4K at 60 so I was expecting 1440 to atleast go to 120 -monitor is a XZ272U Pbmiiphx -GC is gigabyte windforce 3x oc -cpu is Ryzen 7 3700x
  6. Like is g sync a NEEdEED feature. Am I gonna have a horrible time playing without it at high frames, I only play 4K 60 right now never played above 60.
  7. Yes I figured if they are certified compatible they preform fine, hence certified by nividia, but I’m saying, this monitor is a free sync monitor that’s not on the list of “compatible” monitors, so I probably wouldn’t run g sync or free sync at all, so I wanted to know should i hold out for re stocking or just get this one even tho I can’t use it
  8. Alright so I’ve been wanting a monitor for my new rig, Ryzen 3700x Gigabyte 2070 super 3x oc. I want a 1440p 27 inch monitor well local Walmart has a MSI g27c4w 27inch 1440 144hz refresh. I wana get it, it’s a free sync monitor, but I have a 2070 obviously, and msi doesn’t make a certified g sync compatible 1440p monitor. I also don’t wana spend 300+ when I could easily get a compatible one in the same price range I’m just not really wanting to wait for everything to catch up production, everything except for high priced monitor are even in stock, or free syncs that are compatible. what’s your take? should I just buy the monitor and say screw g sync, I’m not playing competitively, just for fun, I mean I’m even willing to buy a used g sync monitor, if someone has one and is willing to ship!
  9. I guess this post was more aimed toward the monitors. I really want a Gsync compatible monitor but not want to spend 600$ and been seeming some nice monitors for cheap on there
  10. Is alibaba for cheap monitors and GC reliable??? I just seen a 2080ti gigabyte winforce oc with 11gb for 225$, also I seen tons of monitors for much cheaper than anywhere is that worth the gamble
  11. So basically the copy of Windows I’m running I don’t own just borrow basically lol, what a god damn waste. And let me guess if I remove windows off the drive to atleast save money on a drive I won’t be able to get it back
  12. Would I be able to take a 128gb m.2 from my alienware laptop, and put it into my very own built rig to save on buying windows? I know linus had a video about something like this, just didn’t know if I have to go through the process with Microsoft since it’ll be new motherboard and everything, or if one hardware swap is allowed? Honestly if I can it would save me couple hundred in drives and windows if I can take it from my laptop, even tho I want to sell the laptop(or would it be more economical to just buy a drive and windows) to make it easier to sell laptop?
  13. Alright so newbie into building a rig, not a newbie gamer, I’m currently running an 2017 Alienware 17 R4 i7-6700hq 16gb ddr4 memory 3000mhz with a nividia 1070. Looking to build a desktop. I will need everything, a whole rig, and monitor, I’m not to worried about having expensive monitor, but I’d like 60hz and atleast 1440p rez. And for the rig, I’d like to go amd with rtx graphics. The range I wana stay at is $1,000-$1,500. Willing to not get monitor right now if it means staying closer to 1,000. But if you somehow are able to build something and get a good monitor at around 1,500 show me. if you got the time im asking if y’all could help and build what you think would be the best within this parameter. I’ve been building and building online but since I don’t know everything, I don’t know what is a good deal or not really, if I really need fast ram, or everything so just looking for some suggestions! Thank you!
  14. I currently am running the “main” antenna on the aux port, have seen a difference in connectivity, so I think as long as I don’t try to use multiple wireless things I’ll be good, my keyboard and mouse are both wires so I only need the antenna for WiFi and it BT as well
