currently i have 16gb (2x8gb) of 2400mhz on an asus z270-k motherboard. i recently purchased 16gb (2x8gb) more memory but it is ddr4 3000. i would like to know if there would be a bigger increase in performance by adding the ram to what is already there or if i should just swap out the old with the new.

I have a laptop with an hdmi out that i would like to use strictly as an extended display for my pc. I have my monitor connected to gpu (gtx 1080) via display port. Is there a way to make this happen? When i connect the laptop to the gpu via hdmi, nothing happens (assuming cuz they are both hdmi out) thanks
