The website says it supports 3rd gen. I was wondering if such a cheap board can handle the cpu, the board was released before the chip was conceptualized. Msi also doesnt ever update b450 mobos page.

Ive finally decided on buying the Ryzen 3950x chip and was wondering if my b-450 a pro max could support it. This would only be temporary, would it work. I heard the board has a similar vrm to the tomahawk.
