  1. He didn’t say there was anything wrong with the PSU, he just said it wasn’t working because the extra 4 pin connector wasn’t plugged in... They didn’t have an extra PSU on hand with both an 8 pin and 4 pin... Just wanted verification prior to buying a new PSU with an 8 pin and extra 4 pin to test it myself!
  2. Sadly... it was my independent computer repair store I brought it to...
  3. Hello! Finally got all my parts for my new PC, decided to jump in head first, the spent two hours building it only to have nothing happen when pressing the power button... I took it into a PC shop since my troubleshooting knowledge is zero, and didn’t want to deal with the stress. My main question is they are saying it’s a PSU problem, I have the X570 Asrock steel legend motherboard which has an additional 4 pin ATX connector. My SeaSonic FOCUS Gold 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply only has the 8 pin ATX connector. It was my understanding was the 8 pin connector was enough to power the board, and the extra 4 pin was for overclocking. Would not having this extra 4 pin plugged in be why my PC isn’t posting? Any help would be greatly appreciated, my frustration level is at maximum. Also, I’m taking recommendations for new PSUs if that’s the case. Thank you, Tanner!
