  1. It was ment more tongue in cheek. I have owned many consoles before but there is no avoiding the fact that playing a game at a higher fps and better resolution gives a better experience. And not something I would substitute for "easy of use". The companies who are really making it difficult are all the ones that load prebuilt machines with bloatware and spout disinformation. If you buy/build a PC for use with a TV just put the basics on it, (Windows defender, which ever GPU companies software to keep it auto updated) and that is it. And for people who say that some people dont care about the graphics and they just want to sit on the sofa and play games, that is BS they just haven't experienced it. Also for people complaining about the PCMR. Stop for a second and think it through. If you look at it from a social interaction side, it is the same as the school playground and being that most of the vocal people on the internet are teenagers this should be expected. But this has banned lots of people together and is more than likely helping fuel the PC gaming come back.
  2. What this? CNET dissing consoles? I think this will convert alot of peasants to the MR. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPEf80mbtEs
  3. These are the displays your going to be buying next year. Enjoy. http://uk.reuters.com/article/2014/09/24/uk-nanoco-group-quantumdots-idUKKCN0HJ0IX20140924
  4. Maybe, but i think it will need to be in one so that it keeps its strength.
  5. I think it would only take ~60 hours to print all and when you factor in how long it takes to ship and the time you have to work to be able to afford to buy one I think I would be compable. Thats a shame as the dimensions are 30.5 x 31.5 x 7.5cm
  6. So after drooling over the Steam Machine and looking at how it comes apart on ifixit (https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Steam+Machine+Teardown/20473) I came to the conclusion, why cant this be 3D printed? All of the internal shrouding should be easy, but why not the case its self? Im not sure what the avg bed size of a home 3D printer is but if some one knows can you post it. I would really like to give this a go. Steam did mention when they first reveled it that they would release the CAD files but I havnt heard any thing about that since then. Does any one on here have access to a Steam Machine that can provide detailed measurements of the case and maybe we could build a prototype.
  7. Why not wait a few months for the 9 series when they change to 16nm. Nvidea seem to the being doing an Intel and just refreshing on this tick tok. But its still good for people who are in the market for a GPU. But if you have a 760 to 780 ti I wouldn't bother.
