    Sounds to me like its a motherboard problem. the clicking could have been from capacitors being strained or bad power delivery to the board itself

    Anyone On here live in Calgary and have a evga stock GPU cooler for a gtx 1080? since the evga card uses the same stock PCB as the msi aero 1080 i am trying to get my hands on one but cant find one.

    If you have the cooling power definitely try an overclock. It may decrease the life of the country slightly taking it from a 10 year chip to an 8 year chip. But after 8years the 2400g will be irrelevant. So try an oc. Even the stock cooler can handle a mild overclock

    I found a used EVGA GTX 1080 for $325 CAD So try looking for some used hardware(if y out are comfortable with that.

    Is it positively to install a msi armour cooler in the aero gtx 1080? Not exactly happy where the thermals are with my rig.
