Upon further frustration with my pc ive come to realize its only restarting when i launch a game. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling a game to see if that would fix the problem(it didnt). Does anyone have an idea of what the problem could be?

What do you need to know? Cpu ryzen 7 1700x 8core 3.4ghz, motherboard asus prime x470pro, gpu gigabyte gtx 1070ti, gskill 16gb ddr4, samsung evo 500gb ssd, seagate 2tb hdd, thermaltake 1000w psu(this is about 3 years old)

Alright, i took out my cmos and held down the power button. That didnt work. Then i went and replaced the cmos. That didnt work either. Are there any other possible solutions?

Not long ago I had two power outages back to back at my house and like an idiot didnt have a surge protector for my pc. I dont know if thats the cause for my problem or not but now at extreme random times my computer just restarts. It could be on for either 5 minutes or 5 hours and then will just do a restart. Sometimes its a back to back restart immediately after it reboots. I've checked to see if i have an overheating issue (i don't) and ive checked to see if i have a virus or malware (i dont believe i do). But i cant seem to figure out the problem and its becoming quite annoying to be playing a game and then my pc just restarts during a boss encounter. Can someone please help me diagnose the problem?
