  1. It works!!! well, since it has different CL, i have to set the cl in the bios but I think that's all I need to do it has the same speed and capacity
  2. so...... today I just went to the store and they explained to me what "lifetime warranty" is so yeah... that's a big oopsie I did before that all I know just a store warranty and I thought that's the only warranty applied to the stick
  3. I'm pretty sure the the warranty already ended even before the stick die I got nothing to lose at that point Except if the warranty last forever, then that's one hell of an oopsie
  4. So I just need to do the little gamble for that And if there's no issues with it, it should run as dual channel then Thanks for the reassurance. Gonna gamble for that one single kit stick
  5. So, I have A320M-PRO-VDS-V2, a motherboard that support dual channel with only 2 slots for memory sticks I did buy 2x8GB 24000mhz sticks when I build my pc back in 2018 Earlier this year one of them is not functioning anymore, it just dead Using the dead sticks wouldn't let the pc boot up. So now I only use one of them this is the dead stick, I open it because I thouhgt something might burn inside... but i see nothing indicate a burned board Now I have enough money to get only 1 ram stick (living in a third world country, so please don't say "it just few bucks") But a seller tell me "it won't work as dual channel if you buy a single kit" So.... is the seller telling the truth that if I just mix match the sticks, even though the the new will have the same speed (with slightly different CL) it won't work? What should I do? using an 8GB memory in 2022 is really limiting
  6. Now I just hope local shop or on the nearby city has the adapter like in the video. I kinda skeptical about it since I live in a kinda backwater country.
  7. woah, thanks. Haven't seen that video. It seems he bought everything new so I didn't bother to watch that. Thanks.
  8. I know this is a stupid question, but I wonder if I can still get something from my dead laptop. My laptop is Lenovo forgot-what-series-is, motherboard is dead, it didn't draw any power for unknown reason. And it has been sitting in my room for more than 4 months. So far the things that I could salvage is the 500GB SSHD. But... can I rip the screen from the laptop and using it as a second monitor for my pc? If yes, how to? If no... well, just give up the only way I guess.
