  1. I am using Chrome, tried with firefox and got the same issue. Also got the same issue loading up a game, the game triggers auto HDR in windows
  2. I'm not sure what you mean by it being on twice. Theres only 1 setting that I see in display, I've tried turning her off completely from the settings and still get the same issue Reset the monitor and I'm using displayport, I only have the computer. I'll see if I can borrow another source and report back. It only happens when there's a dark gradient, like for this video This video doesn't specifically say hdr on youtube but it doesn't look that blocky on my tn panel This next video i don't notice it, so it's gotta be an hdr setting issue, right? 3. This is a photo of my two monitors side by side with the same image on Apple.com. On the left is my LG Ultragear 27GR95QE-B OLED and the right is my Dell S2716DGR TN. Is the artifacting just the trade off I make with OLED? Or is there some setting that I have to change to fix this? Is this an image quality issue? I see this everywhere youtube, plex, pictures, websites.
  4. Sorry for the late reply, I haven't tried this obvious step yet but I've gone on vacation and wont be near the computer for a while. I'll update once I get home, hopefully this is the culprit
  5. Tried again with a 100gb file, but now I have this read chart and this write chart both with highs of 2.5-3GBps updating the firmware definitely improved the situation, but something is still going on with this drive
  6. I updated firmware, and it was looking good right after the restart. read and writes were amazing moving 100gb in seconds when it was minutes for 10gb before. But after 10 minutes of testing, I'm getting the same issue :(( temp was a consistent 46 during all of this.
  7. Yes, updated to the latest BIOS, HDS has no warnings but the graph shows the write speed drops to 0 for several seconds at a time No, it's about 85% full. I've brought it down to 75% and have the same issue.
  8. So I've been having drive issues, it completely locks up at 100% usage, when it does this I can't restart (system just stalls at "Restarting" so I'm forced perform a hard shut down. If I just hit the reset button, the drive is still stuck like this when I boot up again and is unusable. It seems to happen when I start writing to it, I've started backing it up when it decides to work so reading doesn't seem to cause the issue. It's less than 100 hours old, ive clean installed windows 11, windows didn't even detect the drive until I set the slot to pcix2 in the bios. Once detected, I changed the drive letter in disk manager and it did the same thing (on a brand new install!) I've got it in the second m.2 slot on an Asus Maximus x formula and the only way I can get it working is switching between x2 and x4. Does anyone have any insight? Is the drive just doa? Thanks
  9. Good suggestion however this is happening on all screens and I've swapped the cable on the monitor in the video with the same issue occurring. I also tried these monitors on another computer with no issue
  10. I have, this problem is consistent with all chromium based browsers. although I dont get the ghosting with firefox, i still get video lag and jittering I should also mention I get the screen flashes on things that are not the browser, i run 3 screens and the other screens will flash randomly. I player overwatch and it seems to run fine when in focus but out of focus it will flash and give random screen artifacts. My GPU stays around 76c while gaming and the screen artifacts occur even when im not gaming so I dont think its a heat problem.
  11. Hey everyone Im running a 1080Ti and i7-8700 on Windows 10. I regularly have slow down issues mainly within brave browser, and now i get these weird screen flashes and ghosting between tabs (i open google photos and can still see a ghost of youtube tab flashing). Or the video on youtube will not resize immediately when i resize the window. I also cant scroll too far on reddit or it takes seconds to open/close an article. I opened up the task manager for brave and get large CPU numbers from just scrolling and opening articles, even my desktop taskmanager will show up to 60% utilization in some cases Whats wrong with my computer? Is it just getting old? Should I just refresh windows (ive been avoiding this option)?
  12. Hey Everyone, ive been having this issue for sometime now so I couldnt tell you when it started. the video attached clearly shows the problem, it happens when i play in 2x speed at 1080 and becomes more of an issue when I have a game playing on another screen. Chrome has never played smooth video at 2x, firefox plays smooth but seems to be struggling with other loads on the computer. Win10 pro x64 16gb ram i7-8700k 1080ti 800w psu cpu and gpu temps sit around 85 with heavy load. utilization maxes out at 72 for cpu, gpu does max out at 100 at times, but the video stutters still happen at 60-80% The monitor its on is a 4k monitor, is this just a case of my computer struggling to drive 3 monitors (4k, 1440, 1080) while gaming? Thanks for all your help IMG_2392.MOV
  13. It would be, thats a good point... I was thinking of using it as an htpc as well but I could easily get a chromecast. To find a used server, what should I be looking for? can i get away with a beefy cpu and skimp on the gpu?
  14. I have tried plex on the synology, it has no problem with direct play, but struggles with transcoding from 1080. If I go with a used server, does running plex on a VM make sense? or should I not even bother with VMs? The only reason I like the idea of a Mac because my current solution is on a Mac and I wouldn't have to spend any extra time changing settings between operating systems. being able to time machine my old mac to a new one and not do any work at all is attractive
