  1. I am posting in Graphics Cards because I think that may be the issue. I have a dual monitor set up, one using a vga to display port connector, and my primary using HDMI to HDMI. I have had 0 issues with my primary monitor since setting up my computer in early May. I was in the middle of a game while browsing on the 2nd monitor and my primary monitor disconnected itself and is now not detectable. I have updated my GPU drivers to try and help, reset my computer a few times, and checked my internal temps (all looked good). Was hoping to get some troubleshooting help regarding getting the monitor back up and running
  2. I built a computer a week or so ago. r5 3600, rx 580, x570 pro4 motherboard. Coolermaster fan. Lian Li 205 case When my computer gets going the fan starts ramping up and gets VERY loud and sounds VERY bad. It is quiet on desktop and when I have applications going it is normally quiet. It has spurts have ramping up and its beginning to bother/worry me. Im not sure if it is a case issue or fan issue or motherboard issue or what. Or if it is soemthing I can tweak in the bios?
  3. Thank you Viper, worked great. What I had done was tried to use my previously upgraded windows 10 key. And not my original windows 7 key.
  4. Perfect, I've been trying to jump through hoops to get windows 7 installed just so I can upgrade to windows 10 lol
  5. I could have swore I tried this but I will retry, and i believe I had the same win10 version downloaded. Thank you
  6. I need some help, after searching around the internet for awhile I have not come up with a concrete plan. I need to install windows 7, to use the free upgrade to windows 10. (if there is a better idea for this let me know) I am installing windows 7 on an inland premium nvme attached to my asrock x570 pro4. What I have been seeing is I need a nvm driver to use during boot or it won't recognize my ssd. Is that the jest of it?
  7. So my brother had this computer and passed it to me, he had 2 SSD 128gb feeding into the motherboard in raid 0. But instead of showing up as 256 gb, it is showing up as 128gb. Ive checked disc management and there doesnt seem to be any unused space. I just connected a singular SSD to the motherboard and it is still reading at ~60gb on its own. I was wondering if there is something to be done to see why it isn't using its full space?
  8. Aha! I’m dumb lol. Thank you.
  9. So I picked up a new GPU today and went to install it and then I realized it is an 8 pin connector and I only have a 6 pin cord. Can I use the 6 pin or is it smarter to just get an adapter that goes 6 to 8 pin?
  10. Is there a reason to be concerned with the system going "haywire" in these circumstances? Just curious if its something wrong with the build, and I do have an external hdd that I could do backups too. Thanks for your time!
  11. I've been wanting to build for about 5-6 months now and my computers GPU just crashed so I figured this would be a good time to upgrade. I will not be needing keyboard/mouse/monitor. My plan is to get a cheaper GPU but a build that is strong enough that I can then just upgrade the GPU down the line and have it last me awhile. (I would then throw the GPU into my old computer and hopefully let a family member use it). I still need to pick up a Power supply which I was hoping someone could recommend a notable option. Thanks!
  12. Also I know the 3600x is not considered that big of an upgrade. And for this build I doubt it is needed, but it is $20 more at microcenter if that takes anything into account

My idea is to lay the foundation to upgrade a graphics card later down the line (probably 2021) and pass off the 570 to a family member. Questions: Is this SSD still good in comparison to the samsung 970 which is much more expensive? Also could I get some recommendations on a Power Supply to pair with this? I have a monitor/ mouse and keyboard/ and really would only need to buy a power supply, case, and windows. I would want to be able to run this new CoD, warzone, and other than that I just like RPG games like Divinity, WoW and turn based games. Thanks ahead of time for the help!
  14. It’s not possible that it’s a motherboard issue right? I would like to buy a cheap card and pass the computer on to a friend for a few more years if that would fix it.
  15. This is a handed down computer from my brother, who just recently built a new one and it has worked since I got it. Originally I had to change the cpu cooler and reapply thermal paste because it was having issues running. I guess it is not a bad idea to try the same with the gpu before giving up on it.
