  1. Just games like Gears 5 and editing software like davinci desolve just to name a couple. I have a thermaltake g21 with 6 fans. I'm use to gaming on a laptop.
  2. Ok, yeah ryzen 3600 easily spikes up to 60+ c when running apps. I'm probably not use to see that.
  3. I'm using the stock cooler, which I'm fine with for now at least. I sure hope it won't but I would like to precaution.
  4. Hello I'm concerned about my Ryzen 5 3600 temps as I see spiking up and down from 35 c to 45+ c. I know some of this normal but I'm concerned that my CPU will die. I was thinking of putting on some new thermal paste but I'll do as a last resort. I've updated the Ryzen chipset on Amd's website and download ryzen master. Would I need to update the motherboard bios as well? I'm concerned about when I start to use more intensive apps like editing and gaming. Thanks in advance.
  5. If it did exist than it would be a secret lab and it would be quite pricey.
  6. Hello, I'm looking for a good budget monitor roughly under $200. I've narrowed it down between the Acer Nitro VG270 vs LG 29WK600-W. I'll doing some light to moderate gaming for the time being though that may change in the future. The rest of the time I'll be doing some content creation, general use, etc. I'm open to other recommendations. https://www.microcenter.com/product/503139/29WK600-W_29"_UW-UXGA_75Hz_HDMI_DP_FreeSync_HDR_LED_Monitor https://www.microcenter.com/product/612848/Nitro_VG240Y_Pbiip_238"_Full_HD_144Hz_HDMI_DP_FreeSync_LED_Monitor Thanks in advance!
  7. IMHO no it's not worth the upgrade. I would go for an 5500 xt or 5600 xt. In the end, it's your call as it's your money.
  8. So I've narrowed it down between the rx 580 8gb vs 1650 super 4gb. I still may consider a 5500xt but for now it's just these 2. I'm learning towards the 580 but after rebate they are nearly the same price. https://www.microcenter.com/product/616174/Radeon_RX_580_Armor_X_Overclocked_Dual-Fan_8GB_GDDR5_PCIe_30_Video_Card vs https://www.newegg.com/evga-geforce-gtx-1650-super-04g-p4-1357-kr/p/N82E16814487482
  9. Yes, I'm in proximity of a MicroCenter. I'm looking to build soon though and at this time prices seem higher but oh well.
  10. No in my head I'm trying to keep at it at that but realistically it's going to be maybe $700+
  11. amd 3600 2x8 16gb ram 512gb ssd 2 tb hdd thermaltake g21 650 watt power supply b450 mb video card? monitor? *sorry not in full detail budget $500ish $300 is just out of my budget, I'm aiming towards a more budget build as I also have a power enough laptop for my needs. Yes i'm in the USA, I might be willing to stretch the video card budget if it mean some future proofing.
  12. Hello, I need help. I'm building an AMD 3600 computer for editing, gaming, all around use. I'm missing the video card on a budget. I've narrowed it down to nvidia 1660, rx 580/590, amd 5500/5600, or something else. I prefer to keep it under $200 that is somewhat future proof. I'm planning on holding onto this computer for up to a decade. Thoughts?
  13. One word XMP, check it to make sure it's a the clock speed that you want.
  14. Decisions decisions. I was thinking about getting this ram. Thought 100 hz is nice not really looking for that at this time. Also wouldn't overclocking ram decrease it's life? and how do you know if a certain ram is overclockable? I'm looking for this PC build to last me at least a decade ( a lot to ask for). https://www.newegg.com/geil-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820158814?Item=N82E16820158814
  15. The timings on my current ddr4 3000 mhz ram is cl 16 and it's the same with the 3200mhz ddr4 ram that I was planning on getting. I'm also looking to kind of future proofing, in the event that I get a ryzen 2600 instead. I'm in the process of building my dream PC.
  16. Hello, I've read about difference rams speeds used with ryzen 3600 and I currently have a ddr4 3000mhz and was wondering should I return it for a 3200mhz+? Some people yes get a 3200mhz ddr4 ram and some say the difference is very small with ddr4 3000mhz. I would say I'm a semi-enthusiast, I do my research on computer components but I'm willing to let some things slide. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
  17. Hello, I have a main laptop Acer Nitro 5, which I use most often than I have a old dell laptop I use for work mainly, I also have a dell desktop I use for homelab and now I'm planning on building a Ryzen desktop for main use. This would put my Acer Nitro 5 out of my main use category. All of this is not including my smartphone and tablet. I'm trying to stick to a budget and to minimize my ownership of computers and devices but man it's tough. How do you guys do it? Thoughts? Thank you.
  18. Wow thanks for the response, as it has made it clear. I can put RGB lightning in the g21 as well with ram, fans, etc. I think either one is fine and good. Decisions, decisions, decisions.
  19. Depending on your usage at least 600w and almost any brand will do.
  20. Hello, they are both on sale currently for the holidays and can't decide between the two. I like the g21 because it has good air flow and plenty of room for psu, gpu, etc on the other hand the p300 has a sleeker design and I've read that not good air flow mainly due to the front and some parts like psu may not fit well. I'm at a lost and need some advice. I was leaning towards the p300, I like the RGB controls from asus, what is that anyways? Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
