  1. So this is the deal, I have a 5700xt and want to buy a 2k high refresh rate monitor to get most of the juice from it (currently couch-gaming with a 4k 60Hz HDR TV). I found a pretty nice deal for an Acer Predator monitor, used but in great conditions, but its G-sync. Question: should I go for that monitor or buy one with freesync? Even if the specs of the freesync option are worst (in terms of build and image quality). If so, any recommendations? My idea is not to pay more than $300
  2. Reply from Dan cases: some smartphones like Galaxy and iPhone does not work because they do have a USB host controller inside. Through the old USB 20pin over USB-C they can't decide if the computer or the smartphone is the master. Other smartphones like Huawai does work. Also USB-C flash drives, headsets, keyboards s.o does work. This why the new v4.1 have the new gen2 conntector (key-a) to full support USB 3.1 over C-port.
  3. Ok. That's what I thought. I wanted to make sure that it was not a problem of compatibility (gen1 gen2) before looking for a hardware replacement. Thanks to both!
  4. The pins on the motherboard are fine. This is what I have: I'm only getting power from such connection. Devices are not recognized by windows. I'm confused with all these usb standards... cause the dan case says that its a 3.2 gen 2 port... and that 20 pin connection on the motherboard supports 3.1 gen1 https://www.dan-cases.com/dana4.php
  5. Hi, I'm doing the connection that you show on the second pic The motherboard has a 20 pin connection for 1 x USB 3.1 Gen1 https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-B450-I-GAMING/overview/ The Dan case comes with that blue cable that goes to a type-c port on the front panel. 'USB 3.1 gen2 Type-C =/= USB 3.1 Gen1' do you mean that it should be compatible? Thanks
  6. Hi all, I've built a pc on a Dan a4 v4 case. The case has a USB 3.1 gen2 Type-C front port (with cable) and I'm using an ASUS b450-i. The motherboard has a 20pin USB 3.1 Gen1 connector. I'm getting power on the front port but no data transfer. I'm just wondering if its a hardware issue (tried new bios and drivers) or if its not supposed to work due to compatibility problems Cheers,
