I have an RX 6950xt, the power color red devil edition. The difference in my edge and hotspot temps are above 30 degrees C. To help with that I was thinking about switching from the stock tim to carbonaut. I'm ok with the potentially worse edge temp if my hotspot goes down. So for example even if my edge temp goes up 10 degrees of my hotspot drops 15 I'll be cool with it. My question here is: Is it with it to try carbonaut or should I just go straight to something like kryonaut or other high end thermal paste. Almost forgot that I briefly (like a week) had 6900xt red devil that I did replace the paste on but it didn't really work

I recently bought a Red Devil 6950 XT new from Microcenter a month or 2 ago. My Junction temps are about 30 degrees higher the edge temps. Is that normal? I attached a picture from a time spy extreme run. The rest of the system is 5600x@ 4.7GHz & 360 AIO, case is a 5000D Airflow

By driver installationS I meant the minimum TWO I would have to do and the ONE uninstallation minimum if I were to compare them. I know what to do to test them I'm just asking the forum for their knowledge out of laziness I guess.

Low end gaming. I'm gonna just slap it together and then give it away. I was hoping to avoiding all driver installations and bench-marking but thanks for responding.

Quick question. I'm going to be throwing a pc together from my old parts. I just don't know which would be better to pair with the FX 6300. Should i go GTX 970 or RX 570 4GB. Lastly I already own both cards so I'm not buying anything new

I did an OCCT run to check my 4.7GHz. my 3600 ram is @ 3800MHz but I can run it at 4000 22-22-22 iirc

Went in to work at 9:30am EST, I get off in like 45 minutes so I'll see in like an hour when I remove my aio and re-cable. I'll post my temps though

I'm starting to think the 90C+ temps were from a bad mount however its not weird for this cooler to go above 80 even before i took it to microcenter. I'mm running a 5600X @4.6GHz & 1.27V. I'm not on PBO just a static OC. It was 4.65GHz before i started tinkering today. What is your Freq and V.?

I have my fans all through 2 hubs that connect to the cpu header and my pump to the pump header. I can see/hear the fans ra,p up no problem and the pump rpm says between 3700rpm and 4200rpm. this is from a short cpu time spy test but the temps went down by almost 10C after i tried wiggling the block and ever so slightly barely loosening the 2 scres for the block
