  1. @Prof. LuciferI already bought the Triton 500 from jd for 12000rmb (The 2070 version). I didn't know that the gs65 was that cheap but I'm happy with my purchase so far. Also Dave Lee compared between the 2 in the Triton 500 review and said that the Triton was better. Thanks for your help anyways!
  2. Sure, PM me when you’re free. I’ll be free in 2 hours for the rest of the day.
  3. @genexis_x So I received the laptop yesterday. Any suggestions about things I need to do? I updated the graphics driver and installed some of the programs I need. I also have a question. If I’m not gaming, is it a good idea to leave the laptop plugged in? I want to do that so that I don’t discharge and charge my battery a lot but I’m also worried that keeping it at 100% and plugged in will make it heat up and decrease its lifespan.
  4. I don’t know what to tell you but thank you so much for your help. I ended up going with the triton with the 2070 as the aero with a 1080p screen would have been delivered after I’ve travelled. Thanks again!
  5. @genexis_x I hope you remember me. I just want your opinion on one last thing. I’m now choosing between the following laptops and need your thoughts: Acer predator triton 500 (i7-8750H): RTX 2080 max-q for $2140 RTX 2070 max-q for $1710 RTX 2060 for $1570 Gigabyte new aero 15 with RTX 2070 max-q for $2100 Thanks again.
  6. @genexis_xAbout 2.7 kg but lighter is better. Battery life of about 5~6 hours of non-gaming usage like coding or watching a youtube video.
  7. @genexis_xNot really, I will use it mainly at university so that includes a lot of movement and I want it to fit in my backpack and be somewhat light and with good enough battery life. Feel free to suggest slightly heavier laptops but not those huge ones.
  8. I don’t really know which one it is as I’m going to buy it from China and the website is in chinese and the translation is messed up . It is the one with 2 hinges like the one here but it comes with a 240hz screen with g-sync (I think), 32GBs of ram and 1TB ssd. If that is the 15-dc, what were the main problems with it? Also can you recommend a laptop other than the Triton 500, this one and the aero 15. The aero 15 is 280$ more than both of those. The triton 500 seemed to be what I decided to buy but you warned me about its heat issues.
  9. @genexis_xI need your opinion on more thing. I found for the same price the hp omen 15 with i7-9750h, 2070mq, 32GBs, 1TB ssd. The thing is that I didn’t see anyone recommend the omen even though it is still relatively light and thin and has good reviews. Can you clear things up for me?
  10. @genexis_xI was about to decide to buy the 2060 because of what you said until I found the 2070 version with 1TB ssd instead of the 512GB that comes with the 2060 for $140 more. I think that $140 extra for double the storage and a slightly better graphics card is worth it as it will be very hard for me to add more storage due to the flipped motherboard on the Triton 500. Also the 2070 with the extra 2gb of memory will make it better than the 2060 for future games. In addition, in gaming benchmarks that I saw, the 2070 was able to achieve more than 120 fps in apex legends which the 2060 couldn’t and because there is no g-sync on both models, from what I know, most games allow you to cap the fps at 60, 120, 144 or 240 so if I cap it at 120, I wouldn’t feel much stutter as the 2070 can already push beyond 120 fps. About the aero 15, I didn’t find one with a 2060 from where I’m going to buy. Thanks for your help and please tell me what you think. I will make sure to update you if something new happens. Thank you again!
  11. @genexis_xFrom where I think I’m going to buy it, the new Aero 15 with rtx 2070 max-q is $270 more than the Triton 500 also with rtx 2070 max-q. Do you think it is worth it? And really thank you for sticking with me and providing help.
  12. @genexis_xCan you please explain what you mean? I'm fairly new to this stuff so I might have some misconceptions. I thought that if both have nearly the same fan loudness, the one with lower temperatures is better. Can you clear things up for me?
  13. @genexis_xCan you please take a look at the photos I will attach. That is according to Jarrod’sTech. From his tests the triton performed better thermally than the new aero 15. I will also link the videos below. Aero 15: Triton 500:
  14. @genexis_x Okay, thank you so much for your help! Are you sure that the Triton 500 has bad CPU cooling? I know the MSI does and that’s why I didn’t think of it but can you check out Dave lee’s review for example? He was impressed by the triton’s cooling and said that the only problem was the fans’ sound. Also do you know if there is really any difference between rtx 2060 and 2070m max-q?
