I seem to have another inconsistency: I see this model instead of the one etched to the card itself

"Mounting pressure"? I'm not familiar with the term or the way to measure it. About the cooler - When the card was new it was OK with no crashes it's been 5-6 years since my friend bought it. If you don't recommend Furmark - what do you recommend?

it gets to 90 degrees Celsius in less than a minute in when doing the 1080P stress test in furmark (my 970 gets to about 70 max in the same test) and I have already switched out the thermal paste as I assumed that it could be the cause of the game crashes.

It's not on his computer anymore,it's on mine. Up until now I didn't have any overclocking utilities which I installed when I saw I get much higher clocks than I should which I guess is the cause of the game crashes (also extremely high temperatures) and the settings aren't consistent with the factory ones

Hello, a friend of mine gave me his 980 (GV-N980D5-4GD-B) which has been crashing in games for the last year, the thing is my friend has been tempering with the clocks etc and from what I can tell now after taking the time to review the specs he has permanently altered all the settings and now there is no option to go back. does anyone here has the stock firmware so I could try and flash it somehow (if any of you have a tutorial it would be helpful) or any idea how i tweak the settings back to the original specs?
