  1. I built a AMD 16 core 3950x Rig , with a lots Ram, 1100watt EVGA psu , 2tb m.2 storage Using the AsRock Gaming 4s motherboard if you need the model # I can get it later... WITH that being said I noticed my Fps in the games were not that much more then my old gaming rig , I used a 1080ti , then tried a RTX2070 no change lost 10 fps ,then I bought a RTX3070ti very very little change... All my games run very smooth and play Great I just wasn't getting the fps like I see everyone is getting.. So I saw Linus long ago use GPU Z ,... I downloaded it used it , AND it said my main GPU PCIx16 slot was only running at x8 = half speed after going through bios , swapping the GPU to other slots no change .. then I realized my M.2. was mounted in the M.2. slot right beside the Primary GPU slot, so I swapped it and low and behold I have full 16x power and 200+ easy FPS .. Linus did say long ago the M.2. uses PCIe lanes.. well I found out the hard way. In the AS rock motherboard book it says nothing about the M.2. effecting the GPU . So what would of happened if I ran 2x M.2. in raid and had 2 GPUs , it's kinda like a wash. I probably should of gotten a better MB .
  2. Thank you for that link I'll try it.
  3. Ok guys , before I give you the specs of my current Rig I know it's out dated and I am in the process of buying alot of current updated parts . My old PC I built in 2010 and it's been strong and I have had alot of great amazing times On the gaming community. My Question is about the RTX2070 XC Ultra from EVGA , I just bought it and my frame rates dropped by 40% , when put the GTX970 back in I'm at 122 FPS , if I SLI 2 of 660ti's I get 119FPS , I called EVGA to ask them why they think my new RTX 2070 FPS suck vs the GTX970 , and there answer is your parts are out dated. Would I at least maintain or gain a few FPS . The games I'm playing are not new I put the graphics on auto , and turn blur off , that's it. I find Bottle Neck calculators are not very accurate , real world testing seems to be the most accurate and taking to people that have actual experience or hands on data . It's an old AMD 1099t 6 core 3.2/3.6 ghz, 16 gigs ,2 Samsung SSD's in raid , 1100watt ps With the mentioned GPU above. Not a power house by any means but reliable and stable. I am upgrading to 3900x with in 2 weeks . I'm a BF3,BF4,BF1 guy nothing hard core or extremely intense.
