I was just asked if i could take a look at some laptops for my wife's co-worker... and noticed all this windows S mode everywhere. My little bit of research makes me think you should stay away from it. However if you can get a cheaper system with it and then install a none S windows for cheaper then buying the same specs with non s windows is that doable? or is there some weird hardware lock? Would love other peoples input on it and if my instincts are correct.

I am looking at getting a laptop and want to know if anyone knows how this performs. Processor12ᵗʰ Gen Intel® Core™ i7-12700HOSWindows 11 HomeGraphicsNVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3060 Memory16 GB DDR5 Storage1 TB SSD Display15.6-in. display Quad HD (2560X1440) 240Hz I don't know what kind of TDP the MSI thin is running at and if I will actually see the performance bump over a 3060, the processor is much nicer in the Dell and the display is a lot nicer. Laptops are very confusing as it feels like its impossible to compare the GPU's, and the websites I have found seem like automated spec input sites that do not take into account the actual platforms. Any advice?

Hello, I currently have a Samsung S8 and am happy with it but its starting to not have the most reliable battery life. I really do not need the horsepower of a flagship but am a huge fan of the always on display and wireless charging. I also would not be against some better quality sound. Any recommendations on phones i should consider when replacing my S8? I am not really that keen on paying S20 prices when i wont really take advantage of the camera or the power of the phone.
