  1. Please do not take this as me doubting you but I would be very interested to see any articles about that.
  2. Also, when do we think the AM5 socket is coming out? If I decide to go AMD then I fear I may be unable to upgrade later
  3. Okay, I may go with the 5700xt or something in that ballpark for now but plan to upgrade GPU as I did in this build about 2-3 years into its life. I saw yesterday AMD claimed they were releasing something big in 2020 which is my only real concern.
  4. Yes, I apologize, United States and 1000-1500 is the goal. Although its dependent on how much life I can get out of the PC if I can only get an estimated 2 years from a $1000 build then id rather spend $1500 for 4-5 years etc. Thanks for the suggestions.
  5. I am shooting for 1440 @ 144hz for now I believe. You don't think I should be concerned about a large generational leap forward on one of the CPU manufacturers?
  6. I currently have the following since 2012 (did upgrade to an SSD and the 970 some years back however) and I think it is time for an upgrade: i5 3570K GTX970 z77 ASUS Sabertooth 1TB Samsung 970 EVO 1TB Barracuda 4x 4gb Samsung DDR3 1333 Do you guys think that it would be worth upgrading this sale season or should I wait until the next iteration of CPU/GPU? I feel that this hot and heavy battle between Intel and AMD is going to lead to a big leap as both, in my opinion, are trying to pull out all stops in the name of competition. My goal is to build a PC which can last me for the next 5-6 years as this previous computer did keeping up with modern titles. When do you think the next big leap will be in either camp? Any suggestions on what to do?
