  1. Need Help! I've been using my current setup for since 2013. Only recent parts are the GPU and Power Supply. I think its time for me to get a new setup this year so I'll need some recommendation on selecting the components. Shown below is my current pc im using:- PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU Intel Core i5-4670 3.4 GHz Quad-Core Processor $375.27 @ Amazon Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z87-D3HP ATX LGA1150 Motherboard Memory Corsair Vengeance 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) DDR3-1866 Memory Storage Samsung 860 Evo 250 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $59.99 @ Amazon Storage Western Digital Blue 1 TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive $44.99 @ Newegg Video Card MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6 GB GAMING X Video Card $620.15 @ Amazon Case SHARKOON T3-W ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply Corsair RMx 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Optical Drive Lite-On iHAS124-14 DVD/CD Writer $19.98 @ Amazon Operating System Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit $99.99 @ B&H Monitor Dell S2340L 23.0" 1920x1080 60 Hz Monitor $486.34 @ Amazon Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $1706.71 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-02-28 01:49 EST-0500 My plan to is to get a new monitor though I haven't really decided on which yet but it'll be maximum 27" , 1440p with minimum 144hz and maximum 5ms response time. So please help to select component bearing with this monitor in mind. (Heck if you can recommend a good monitor that'll be a bonus help. Budget $400 USD) My use is mainly for gaming on high settings. My budget is around $1600 USD. Thanks!
  2. @Jrasero @SteveGrabowski0 Hahaha... well my objective in upgrading is to have a pc capable of playing on Cyberpunk standards. Current PC definitely not even hitting the minimum specs requirement for it. Not really a must to have the latest for everything. Definitely great if Nvidia releases new cards with new functions etc. If its worth it, sure i might consider hoping to the new cards.... but if not, well atleast the positive side is the current RTX cards pricing will drop. ?
  3. @TVwazhere Thanks for highlighting your recommended cases! I'll look through each cases' review and think about it.
  4. @VEXICUS Yeah! And its $97. Thanks, I'll try to look through some review regarding it to find out more for myself.
  5. @VEXICUS Yeah its available but the price is $135. Its actually above my intended budget for a case ($100) ... is it really worth the additional $35? ?
  6. @BTGbullseye Thanks! Least i know its still capable. I don't mind playing high quality games in the 60 -70 fps range temporary, thats actually what I've been playing on till now (Borderlands 3, Witcher 3, Star Wars Fallen Order and Outer Worlds) . Imagine playing these games with component that are 8 years old, RAM of only 8GB etc... Think I'll hold on to the 1060 for the moment and get a new graphic card once new releases are out. Least the 2070/5700 gpu prices should reduce by then ... Thanks for your output guys!
  7. @Jumballi So i should reuse the 1060 for the time being?
  8. @InsaneFire10YT I plan to make use of my monitor so 2560 x 1440, fps would be based on games though so if like CSGO above 100++ , high quality games like maybe cyberpunk above average 60++ ?? Not really sure my self. Atleast at "high" setting. Cause theres rumors of nvidia releasing a new card this year so though to myself if i should wait... Curiosity, is 1060 capable of playing at these kinda standards?
  9. I am planning on getting a new setup for my PC as the components are very old already (Probably around 8 years now). I had only changed out the graphic card and PSU like 3 years ago give or take... Was wondering if its worth it upgrading my current MSI 1060 Gaming X to a 2070 Super, or should i continue using the 1060 until future releases? I plan on reusing my current PSU Corsair RMx 750W Gold My planned Setup:- AMD Ryzen 5 3600 MSI B450 Tomahawk Max G.Skill Trident Z RGB Neo 3000 16GB Adata XPG SX8200 Pro M.2 NVME 500GB Crucial MX500 1Tb CM MB520 RBG TG Cooler Master 212 black RGB MSI Optix MAG27CQ Please advise. Thank you!
  10. Hi All, I'll be building a new setup soon but I'm unsure what case is good. Went to find some reviews site on case but not much can be found or some reviews cant be found for certain cases. FYI, I'm from Singapore and the build will purchase from the PC stores available here so options are quite limited to whatever they are selling. I want an ATX case with 1st priority, good cooling and 2nd, looks. Max price is $100 SGD. My Planned Setup is as follows:- AMD Ryzen 5 3600 MSI B450 Tomahawk Max MSI 2070 Gaming X TRIO G.Skill Trident Z RGB Neo 3000 16GB Adata XPG SX8200 Pro M.2 NVME 500GB Crucial MX500 1Tb Corsair RMx 650W Gold Cooler Master 212 black RGB MSI Optix MAG27CQ Image shown is the case available which i can purchase from based on brochure. Thank you!
  11. @Streetguru Monitor : MSI Optix MAG27CQ, 2560 x 1440 WQHD and 144 Hz refresh rate Yeah RX5700 is definitely cheaper, a Powercolor RX5700XT Red Devil 8Gb cost $685 while MSI 2070 Super Gaming X trio cost $852 (theres the 2 fan version but decided to pay a bit more for 3 fans version) I decided to go for 2070 instead of 5700 cause its more stable. Understand performance wise both are more or less on par, maybe some say 5700 a bit better, but there's also some complains regarding its programming/system? Focus G honestly looks plain to me, isn't there any others that has good airflow and atleast a decent look? ? Q300L is micro atx , looking for a mid tower case. Thanks you!

  13. Hi guys, I'm searching for a new monitor. Budget is around $300 USD. There are some specific specifications im looking for but im still open for suggestions if available. Specs: Size: 24 Inch Response Time: 5ms or lower Max Resolution: 2560x1440 Refresh Rate: 144Hz Curved if available - I wouldn't mind adding abit to the cost if curved. Appreciate the help.
  14. Thanks for the input guys! I'll take some time to think this through. ?
  15. If you're refering to the motherboard and CPU only then, i wouldnt mind up to around $500 USD?
  16. Currently its 1920 x 1080 and it think 60Hz. Still deciding to get either the ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q or Aorus CV27Q. But that'll be after the desktop.
  17. Oh dang, didnt know about that. Thanks for informing. Perhaps would be a better choice to wait it out abit more since theres rumors of Nvidia's 30 series coming out? ?
  18. I'm from Singapore so the price here differs much with online and US market. And im purchasing the parts from a single shop so that they can assist in assembling it. (Noob here, cant assemble and not risking it?) You can probably add another 50 - 100 USD to it just to give you an idea or the range i guess... Thanks
  19. Yeah i mean i could probably save up a bit more to buy it, but do i REALLY need it? Its not like i need to play on ultra on future games. Im probably fine with med or high resolution too as long as those future game (which i assume will have higher vram usage than current game) are playable.
  20. Mind recommending some CPU and motherboard just for me to take note?
  21. Yeah im wondering like your kinda situation. Honestly speaking i doubt i would be able to see a difference in the visuals etc. Sure i can save up a bit for to buy a 2080 but i was wondering if i REALLY need it?
  22. Hi, I'm planning on building a new setup entirely for gaming. Such as Dota, Witcher 3, Star Wars Fallen Order and future games. Need help to decide on which graphic card to use: 2070 super or 2080 super. Currently i've been using a 1060 so to me a 2070 super is a good upgrade. However i've receive feedbacks that i should get a 2080 super. I would like to know if i REALLY need that 2080 super to futureproof my setup for around 10 years of usage. Below is my planned setup:- CPU Core i7 9700F Motherboard Gigabyte H370 Aorus Gaming 3 GPU ????? RAM G.Skill Trident-Z RGB 3200 C16 Primary Storage For Booting Samsung 970 EVO Plus 250GB Secondary for Gaming ADATA SX8200 PRO 2TB Power Supply CORSAIR HX750 Case NZXT H710i CPU cooler Cooler Master Hyper 212 LED
  23. I notice that you've selected the RAM to be 16GB instead of 32GB. I'm assuming that this is because 16GB is sufficient and 32GB would be underutilized?
  24. Yeah, its possible. Just didn't think i would require that high of a GPU. Cause currently im using a 1060 so even an upgrade to a 2070 sounds good to me. ? Reason I'm looking at AMD is cause it looks i might be able to cut some cost and use it somewhere else. I don't plan on overclocking. Heck, i don't know how...
  25. Hi, I'm planning on building a new setup basically for gaming. I also want to futureproof this usage perhaps for more than 5 years if possible. Would appreciate any help/suggestions provided. ? Games: CALL OF DUTY, WITCHER 3, STAR WARS FALLEN ORDER, ANTHEM and future games I've actually went through a computer shop brochure to select the components that i think is good. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pGNYgJ FYI, I'm from Singapore, so the price here is based on SGD. My budget say in USD would be around $2000 I would like to build this setup around the graphic card 2070 Super... I would like to know if there is an AMD equivalent (as i heard AMD are generally cheaper , also if there are any pros and cons of using AMD) Any other components to swap out for? A good motherboard for AMD
