  1. The "=>" means "equal to or greater than" the wattage that is written after it. Also, it's for the PSU listed before it. So the Platimax D.F 750w and higher are Tier A. The hyphen separates the listed PSUs too, so the wattage does not apply to the Revolution D.F. (also the wattage would've been colored alongside the PSU it is referencing)
  2. Looking at the changelog, next time Luke updates the post, the MSI will be moved to normal Tier A and be colored blue. It was in low priority since there weren't any professional reviews at the time of last update.
  3. Which Focus? If it's the GX or even a recent FX, it's perfectly fine. It's the old FX stock that has issues IIRC. Same price I would go Seasonic.
  4. Doesn't have OTP, which is required for Tier B and higher. Jonny asked CWT themselves (they make the PSU). It should be fine though.
  5. Thermaltake GF1 750w would be the best option. Another note, never get a Gigabyte P-GM. Their FETs are trash and will explode (probably why it had a high DOA and return rate before the professional review was done)
  6. Isn't that the Seasonic Connect, with the partially routed cables or something? That's Tier A, listed as "Connect". Seems to be a modified Focus.
  7. 600w doesn't tell us anything tbh (and there's no RMx 600w). In fact, the only new-ish Corsair PSUs that are 600w are the Corsair SF series, which are SFX PSUs. The only others are the old green label CX/CXM, the VS, and the GS and those are from like, 2012 except for the VS which is the lowest end.
  8. I'm using PCpartpicker for prices, so they might be a little off. Bitfenix Formula Gold 650w/750w (€85/€95) if you don't care about modularity Bitfenix Whisper M 650w or Corsair RM for €101 if you want a fully modular PSU. These would be nice, especially if you are want to reuse them for a new build.
  9. Yeah, it's definitely a PSU problem. All of NOX units are terrible from what I recall. If you need PSU suggestions, just tell us the country and budget and I'm sure someone can help find a decent enough one. Edit: Some NOX units were decent, but the company has a history of review sample manipulation or downgrading the products after the fact.
  10. No...you got the actual Tier A PSU. Look at the manufacturer one more time, particularly the second word. It's a Seasonic, while FSP (the chinese Tier D) is Shenzhen Huili Electronics Co., Ltd, Another way is to look at the +12V. If it's close to the wattage advertised, it's the Tier A version. (744w for 750w model) while the Tier D version is 600w for the 650w model (couldn't find a pic of the 750w chinese version) Edit: here's a pic of the FSP version
  11. For future reference, the Silverstone is actually a CWT PSU, specifically using the GPS platform, and not a Seasonic. Also only 3 year warranty...oof. I'd personally take the be quiet! over Silverstone. There's also the Antec Earthwatts Gold Pro 550w for $80 on Amazon. It's a tier A PSU that is a rebranded Seasonic Focus GM, with a 7 year warranty.
  12. Looking it up, seems to be a single RM (2019) blowing up. Don't see any other videos on my end. Again, one faulty PSU does not make the whole model bad.
  13. Just because you got one unlucky unit does not mean it shouldn't be recommended.
  14. Ok, so full-range is 100V-240V, like the one you linked (at least going by both the pics and model number).
  15. there's fully-modular for cheaper, like the Thermaltake GF1
  16. No, just no. That PSU isn't good. There's a reason it's so cheap. It's basically supposed to be treated as 230V only because the platform used blows up when the V drops below 90. Either spend the extra on the Thermaltake 650w if you want full modularity, or sacrifice the modularity and efficiency for something like the Corsair CX 650w or the Silverstone Essential Gold 650 though the Silverstone only has a 3-year warranty vs the 5 year of the Corsair, plus Corsair customer service is pretty good.
  17. No, that's the Tier C. It's the RM from 2013.
  18. Thanks for missing the point entirely lol....and the only reason I said 750w is because that's the only one that is confirmed. I don't know if the higher wattage models trip too, like the 1000w for 3090. And if you want to argue, at least argue about stock clocks (which is where Nvidia gets it's PSU recommended wattage from) and not an overclocked card.
  19. What the bracket means there is that there's a model just called Thermaltake GF1 then theres a model with the same name but with ARGB. Look at the RMx in the same tier. It has (White) to show that the white model is the same PSU internally as it's not-white counterparts.
  20. Ok, the linked PSU is the same as the GF1 ARGB, but with no RGB, hence why the ARGB on the list is bracketed like (this) on the list. As for what it means to say a country (or continent), it's encompassing all the of the Thermaltake models with city names, like how theres a model with Madrid or Rome under the European Gold, and Moscow under Russian Gold.
  21. the CX650 gray label is decent, though I'd personally pay the extra for something like a Thermaltake GF1. I'm thinking a lot more long term with a 10 year warranty vs a 5 year, but if you are going to replace it in 5 years anyway, the CX would be okay. I also personally think you shouldn't cheap out on a PSU with higher end hardware, but again, the CX is decent and shouldn't cause any problems.
  22. How is it misleading? Also, those PSUs also trip with the new 30 series cards because they too are high transient. Well, the 750w model with a 3080 and 3090, at the very least. Haven't heard of anyone with a 3070/3060ti try it yet, or missed it somewhere.
  23. I'd probably get a new PSU. You are powering some high quality hardware, so it's better to be safe than sorry. I don't think it'll fry the system, but I do think that it might trip on the transient spikes that 30 series cards have. If it was the CX gray, I would've said try it and see, but since it's the old model, I would definitely upgrade the PSU. Something like a Thermaltake GF1 or NZXT C are good, looking at current pricing in the US. If you can find the Corsair RM or Seasonic Focus GX for around the same price, I'd get one of those
  24. It's the Revolt Pro that were manufactured prior to January 2018, since it's uses the Seasonic Focus platform (don't remember if just a rebranded Seasonic FX or if they modified it at all). Those manufactured after Jan 2018 don't have this problem with the revision of the FX (now it's based of the GX). In any case, there will be no problems with the Revolt X since that is using the Seasonic PRIME platform, which didn't have those issues.
