  1. Hello LTT Community! I'm not new to overclocking, however my last system was an Intel 8th Gen, which was a very simple overclock. I spent loads of time finding my sweetspot. However, now I am seeking some assistance to understand how to properly overclock my Intel i9-14900k, to achive a stable overclock and soild temps. As I am new to this whole P-Core E-Core architecture. Specs: CPU: Intel Core i9-14900K CPU Cooler: Lian Li Galahad II LCD CPU Contact Frame: Thermalright Thermalpaste: Noctua NT-H2 Motherboard: Asus ROG MAXIMUS Z790 FORMULA Memory: Corsair Dominator Titanium 96 GB (2 x 48 GB) DDR5-6400 CL32 Drives: Kingston Fury Renegade 2 TB (x3), Corsair MP700 PRO 1 TB PCIe 5.0 (OS) GPU: Asus ROG STRIX GAMING OC GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB PSU: Deepcool PX1200G 1200W Case: Hyte Y70 Touch Fans: Lian-Li SL-INF (Total of 10 fans, 6 intake, 4 exhaust (one is 140mm)) In advance, thank you!
  2. Thanks guys! Appriciate the comments!
  3. Hello LTT Community! I've almost bougth all my parts for a new build besides the GPU. (I know what I am getting, just waiting for it to be in stock.) The estimated wattage from PCPP is 957W. I've bought a 1200W PSU which is ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0 ready with the 12VHPWR for the GPU. I saw a video that you should multiply by 1.5 on your estimated wattage from PCPP. In my case then I would round it up to 1000W and then get that I in theory should then buy a 1500W PSU. Am I overthinking it, or should I be fine with my 1200W? Here is the PSU I've orderd https://www.deepcool.com/products/PowerSupplyUnits/powersupplyunits/PX1200G-ATX-3.0-80-Plus-Gold-Power-Supply/2023/17048.shtml and here is the PCPP link https://no.pcpartpicker.com/list/bMYXYN In advance thank you!
  4. It's the ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Formula ( https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-maximus/rog-maximus-z790-formula/ )
  5. Hello LTT Community! I've been trying to research this topic, but I'm having issues wrapping it around my head on what will happen. I have been planning a new really high-end pc build. I started reading the motherboard document/manual and found out that it will split x16 to x8's when using the PCIe 5.0 M.2 socket. PCIe 5.0 x8 equals the same as PCIe 4.0 x16, but I'm afraid there will be performance impact because it will only have eight lanes. If I understand it correctly. (From the manual) My intention with the build was to have a GEN 5 drive in that slot, but don't want the 4090 to have a performance impact. Is this correct or am I just waffeling? In advance, thank you!
  6. I take all the opinions I get. I did look into that motherboard from before already and it seems to be a really good board. As of now I am waiting for black friday to come around and then will have a look at the deals I can get. I am planning to stick with my 2070 as it is only a year old and to be honest, it works just fine for my use right now, but potentially it will be upgraded at some point down the line, maybe in a copule of years, dependent on how it keeps up with new titles that gets released in the years coming.
  7. I don't do much overclocking, I've barely touched it now and run my CPU at 4.6 currently at stable. Could probs have pushed it even further but I am not advanced within this field to be honest. It is not that I don't know what I am doing, this was more seeking other people's experience and tips.
  8. I currently run an NZXT Kraken X62 cooler for my i5-8600K, pretty sure this will keep up fine with the i9-9900k Regarding that motherboard, this is what I found find available in Norway - ASRock Z390 Taichi Ultimate, it is slightly more expensive than the Z390-E board I posted. We're talking roughly 20 bucks. I am waiting for Black Friday to come around, and I will depend on the deals then when it comes to motherboard I guess.
  9. Hello @Stormseeker9, Will the ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E work ok, or is this a bad board? I require Wi-Fi antenna option connectors and two M.2 slots atleast. If you have any suggestions I'd appriciate it.
  10. Hello @Mateyyy, I am worried about that this CPU is to powerful and the GPU will struggle to keep up. How about the newly released KS version? Is that also going to run, is it worth picking up the KS version? Is there any preformance diffrence between Z370 and Z390?
  11. Hello, I need some assistance with choosing a new CPU. I am currently running an i5-8600K with an ASUS ROG Strix Z370-E Gaming motherboard. I am looking to upgrade my CPU to an i9-9900K/KS. Will the i9's work ok on this Z370 board or will I require to get a new Z390 chipset board? With this I run an ASUS ROG Strix RTX 2070 with 32 GB DDR4 with 3200MHz. I am also worried about bottlenecking, anyone that has experience with this? I would appriciate any help ? Best regards, Sveiny
