  1. Thank you for all your replies. You were very helpful!
  2. I don't remember where I read those reviews. One last question, If I were to buy Corsair ML140 and replace stock fans, would it really make a difference, or improvements would be minimal (3-4C)?
  3. I've already done this, but with no luck and 1.29V is the only stable voltage. 5.0GHz requires 1.330V but I haven't fully tested it since temps are so high. As I said, silicon lottery wasn't at my side unfortunately. Btw, can high temps be due to cpu itself (bad silicon lottery?
  4. Well, it seems reasonable, but I can't understand how other users with the same cooler could achieve lower temps at higher voltages. That seems unreasonable. Anyway, are these temps safe or it may cause problems at some future time?
  5. Yes, the settings are at "Extreme" in ICUE, it helps to lower temps only by 2-3C.
  6. Hello everyone. I've build my first rig about one month ago and have been trying to find optimal overclocking settings for 9900k (using Corsair H115i PRO for cooling) since then. It seems my luck isn't as much good as I thought it'd be, and was able to reach stable 4.9GHz at 1.29V with LLC Turbo, 5GHz is possible but temps get unreasonable. However, I'm concerned about temperatures running such benchmarks as Cinebench R15, R20, Intel XTU stress test (max 86C), Aida64 (it reaches 94C after 15 minutes of running). I've resitted the AIO several times and even applied aftermarket thermal paste, which helped a little, but isn't enough. I checked the airflow inside the case, too. Reviews say that others could reach lower temps at higher voltages using the same CPU cooler. What could be the reason of this? Also, is it safe to have those temperatures?
  7. Well, another question. The monitor is plugged in the videocard, right? So if the videocard does have DP, I can just ignore whether the motherboard has DP or not. That might be a dumb question, though
  8. I've bought a monitor with FreeSync support along with Aorus Master motherboard and it only has HDMI. From what I've read, Nvidia cards can benefit from FreeSync only via DisplayPort, with HDMI it just won't work. Is that right?
  9. Hello everyone! I've read a ton of reviews about both of these motherboards and, instead of helping me, it led to further confusion. So, based on what i've read, Aorus Master has better VRM, but not-so-friendly BIOS, while Maximum XI Hero has more intuitive BIOS (especially since it's my first build) but not so great VRM. For that reason, many say that Asus is overpriced. Well, I would've chosen Gigabyte, but reading negative reviews on amazon with customers receiving it damaged or non-functioning parts, I have my doubts. One even said that he didn't believe those negative reviews, but it turned out to be true. I plan to buy 9900K and overclock it only to 5.0 GHz. I'd like to hear your thoughts and personal experience so that I can make my final choice.
  10. So... There's a possibility that the rated speed won't work with Intel? ? The thing is I've already ordered one, but noticed this detail only now. If not for that, I would've chosen Corsair.
  11. I'm planning to build a new PC based on Z390 chipset and G.Skill definitely piqued my interest. But, no matter where I look at, Trident Z Neo is said to be optimized for AMD build. Does it mean it won't work with my build?
