  1. The laptop is used for a both work in the day and as a gaming rig in the evenings - although I don't imagine gaming away from a fixed plug socket any time soon. Is it not the case that the laptop will draw lower watts whilst doing less intensive tasks (such as working on word and excel) and a lower watt power supply would charge the unit - just slower?
  2. Hi all, I'm looking at getting a portable power bank to recharge my laptop whilst away from the mains. I currently have a MSI ge72 6qd but am looking to upgrade "soonish" to a MSI GS75 or Razerblade Pro 17. Any advice on how many watts I'd need to get a decent rate of recharge / life extension? Currently looking at something like: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07WV2WB9T/?coliid=I3IP1XTPORHSN0&colid=2EALSMIBF7KMQ&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
  3. Sorry some more info... I currently have an MSI ge72 6qd with the gtx 960m. Mainly used for games new releases such as borderlands, gears, outer worlds - although it's starting to struggle to keep 60 fps without dropping quality considerably. Also used for .net software development and some running a linux vm. I'd like something that can replace this and looking to spend around £1500 - £2000. I like the msi gs75 stealth and the razor pro 17 for the looks but they are a little above my price range. Cheers
  4. Hi all. New here but wanted to ask opinions on whether buying an £1500+ laptop is worth it or if waiting for more of the next gen intel chips to release in laptops would be better? Cheers!
