Hey guys, I bought a PG279Q back in July, and I had always thought that the monitor felt off. Even after calibrating it, it was still uncomfortable to use. It felt like somebody was pointing a flashlight into my eyes, even when the monitor was calibrated and set to the correct brightness, which is around 25 for a normally lit room. Recently I found out about the bad backlight bleed issues that these 1440p panels have and decided to see if mine was suffering from that issue. I took a picture of it in the dark with the brightness set to 26, which is the recommended setting, and tried to eliminate any light that could mess anything up. Do you think that this monitor has enough backlight-bleed to RMA the monitor or sell it and get a new one?
