  1. Hi, I'm looking to buy a gaming laptop for about €1300. There are so many options online, and I'm feeling overwhelmed, so I could use some help. Here's what I need: A big screen, 16 inches or larger (17 inches would be great) - I'll use it for gaming and studying, so size is more important than weight It should be able to handle modern games well, either with high FPS or great graphics, depending on the game. I want at least 500GB of SSD storage, but 1TB would be perfect. I don't need a 4K screen; a high-refresh-rate Full HD display is enough. (maybe 1440p) It should have decent battery life for a gaming laptop. I prefer a simple, non-flashy design - I'm not a fan of the typical gaming laptop look. My budget is €1300, but I can stretch it a bit for the right choice. Thanks for your help.
  2. Hi. My dad wants me to delete all his data (passwords, documents, photos...) from his old windows laptop, but I have to keep Microsoft office programs. At first I was thinking of formating it but that would delete all data including programs. Is there any quick way of deleting everything but not deleting programs like Word, PowerPoint and such. Or do I have to do it manually? Thanks.
  3. I get your point but 512gb - 60gb = 452gb which is more than enough for me. A locked bootloader isnt a big deal for me either because i dont root my phone and 4 years of OS updates and an extra year of security updates is more than enough (I don't change phones every year)
  4. Thanks for a really detailed reply. So if I understood correctly I should limit the battery to 85% at all times (if I get through the day normally and if not I should just leave it at 100%) and disable fast charging when I don't need it.
  5. This is exactly what this routine is supposed to do since Samsung doesn't have a setting to do that automatically.
  6. Well 4 months is quite some time when you compare it to 8h during the night. And wireless charging wears the battery more I think.
  7. So I am trying to optimize battery wear on my phone. A friend of mine recommended me to setup a bixby routine. It basically turns on a setting for limiting charging to 85% during the night and in the morning (about 30 minutes before I wake up) it disables it so when I wake up the phone is at a 100%. (You can see on the screenshot). I also have a routine which disables fast charging during the night. This works perfectly. But is sitting at 85% all night better than at 100%? Does it actually cause less battery wear? Why does Samsung not automate this like Apple does?
  8. Update: After a few more days of thinking about it and talking with my parents I decided it is worth it. I don't regret it at all. Thanks for all the feedback. I am probably going to get a summer job this year and I should be able to make this money back.
  9. Will think about it, thanks. After all preorders are until 16. 2. So there is plenty of time.
  10. It is really expensive for a phone. But the truth is that I do a lot of things from my phone. And I never had a flagship phone. I always had midrange ones. Currently on a galaxy a71 which is 2 years old and it is already quite laggy and slow. But my friend has a note 10 plus which he had from the release and it still works smoothly.
  11. It is my money. And they are not trying to stop me from buying it, they are just trying to tell me that that amount of money can/will be usefull in the future. If I wanted I can buy it, but I understand their point, and now I have a dilemma if I should buy it or save the money and maybe buy something cheaper.
  12. Hi. I am currently looking to preorder the Samsung galaxy s23 ultra. But before I buy it I have to convince my parents that it is worth the price (even though it is a bit overpriced in EU - 1400€!!). My parents argument is that it is better to buy a midrange phone (400-600€) every 3 years, than a flagship. In their oppinion you will have 3 midrange phones in 9 years versus a flagship for 4 years. And in their eyes a midrange phone is more than good enough (it is true to some extent, but in my experience they quickly start lagging) I hope I explained our conversation good enough to help me give arguments so I can buy the phone. To be clear I am 18 years old and money is not the problem here. It is just that they don't like spending money on such things.
  13. Hi. Is there any way of manually connecting certain devices on Bluetooth? I am using a Samsung phone and I have a Huawei smart watch, on which you cant turn Bluetooth off. That means that whenever I wear the watch and have Bluetooth turned on on my phone, the watch connects. This is very unnecessary since I only need it connected when syncing my activities. So is there any app or option that lets me choose which devices I want to connect automatically and which manually? Thanks
  14. Thank you all. I bought the buds 2 Pro 2 hours back and am still setting them up to my liking. So far they are the best earphones I owned so I am very happy with my purchase.
  15. Do you by any chance have experience with the galaxy buds, because I like them. I'm just not sure if they are good or not. I want to stick with Samsung if possible because I feel everything just works better if you only have one brand of things.
