  1. Hello guys, So few days ago I had one issue with the m.2 drive, it come to the point that my MB cannot boot from NVMe drive. Well, I found workaround, how I boot from NVMe is that I plug USB stick with Win10 installation in the pc and boot it, then when it opens installation I close it and then my laptop boots in the NVMe system( loads drivers for NVMe) until next cold boot. Now, is there a way to have my bootloader AND drivers for NVMe on different SATA disk, and then to force my laptop to open that bootloader and load drivers without the need of inserting installation USB? Thank you!
  2. Yes, I updated BIOS to the newest version that was on the ACER site for my model. Thank you for sharing that link, but I already saw that topic and actually checked it and It didnt provide much info for my issue. You can check my topic here https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/584157/nvme-ssd-not-recognized-is-it-suppored-g5-793
  3. Yes, tech spec of the laptop says that and since I was able to already open it up in windows, clone system to it and boot from it AFTER already running windows, then I am pretty sure it supports it. I it is like BIOS forgets "drivers" and then once I enter windows it loads them until next shutdown
  4. Hello guys, I really need help, I will post photos and give all of the details I can in order to get help with this... So, I currently have Acer Predator g5-793 laptop, which came with LiteOn CV1-8b128 m.2 ssd 128gb and 1TB Toshiba HDD. Now, I purchased Kingston 480GB A1000 M.2 2280 NVMe drive and want to replace old LiteOn ssd, but BIOS does not pick it up, here is the fun part. When I power on my laptop and enter BIOS, there is no SSD showing there, I insert USB with windows on it and go to install OS on it, it does not show. BUT, when i go to "REPAIR MY PC" option and choose "Change UEFI settings" under trubleshooting, laptop restarts, enters BIOS and it does show my SSD there, all fine, the issue is when I exit that BIOS in any way, it once again, does not detect it anywhere. I made a topic on ACER forums, and one of the users there told me to find spare HDD, plug it in and install OS on it, then once it boots up, add drive letter to it, format it and then to clone OS from that spare HDD to new ssd. I did that and everything worked perfectly. When I restarted PC it asked me if I want to boot system from SSD, I did that, tested SSD, speeds were perfect. BUT, when I SHUTDOWN laptop(battery runs out or similar), it once again "forgots" that new ssd and I have to enter HDD system RESTART and then again boot from SSD. Well that is okay, but the issue is that my original 1TB HDD have tons of stuff on it and I cannot format it right now to install spare OS on it in case I have to do this process again and also when I open my laptop to change spare HDD with old 1TB drive, it AGAIN forgots SSD and system on it and show "No bootable drive" One of the suggestions is to change SATA mode to AHCI since currently it is set to "RAID", but there is no option to change that in this crappy BIOS FIRST POWERUP AND BOOT - no SSD detected Entering REPAIR option from USB and choosing CHANGE UEFI, then laptop reboots into BIOS WITH SSD DETECTED After hitting SAVE AND CLOSE, drive is not picked up in windows installation One more thing, giving back SSD si not the option, store will not accept return since it is "opened and used" Is there any way I can fix this ? Thank you all very much for any answer!
  5. Here is the audio file, this was when i unplugged adapter from the image out of the laptop type c port Oct 27, 4.21 AM(2).mp3
  6. I thought of that too, but same issue is with hdmi to vga adapter, which i purchased separately to try out, so i dont think the issue is with both of them Sorry, I am not too good with explaining things haha Adapter from the image is plugged into laptop, and vga cable from monitor is plugged directly into the vga slot on adapter.. Also, one more detail... With the simple hdmi adapter which looks like stick, sound starts when i open any kind of game or heavy application, but if i turn fans to full, sound stops slowly My laptop is acer predator g5 793
  7. I am cureently using cabledeconn adapter which goes into laptop and then i plug my vga in it... Second one is simple hdmi adapter which goes into hdmi slot ij laptop then vga cable in it... I broke second one out of frustration, and first one now makes even louder crackling sound... After i plug out my monitor, sound slowly fades away after 20 seconds... I hope that explains better
