  1. Alright, so after some days of research I decided for most of my parts. Just want to check with you guys to see if the parts will work together. Note: I have a R5 1600 to BIOS update my motherboard. My choices for now: Ryzen 7 3700x Asrock X470 Taichi Nvidia GTX 1660TI G. Skill Trident 2x8GB 3200 (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR) Seasonic Prime Ultra Gold 550W Samsung 970 Evo M.2 250GB SSD 3TB Seagate Barracuda HDD This are all the items I have/will order. Do I need something else (like cables for usb etc.) or do I have with those items a good, working pc without any strange problems? I don't have any experience with pc building or overclocking, so I think I won't try that the first year. Thats why I went with the 3200MHZ Ram instead of 3600, because i'm affraid my MB can't handle is. Can you guys confirm that? Thanks for the help! Regards
  2. So the cheam MSI Tomahawk Max is good enough for me? I dont need a BIOS update either.
  3. I already really reasearched which processor I want/need, and I decided to go for the 3700x. I don't think it is a overkill, and it will serve my gaming and daily use of the pc great I think. For the motherboard I don't quite know what chipset to pick, because I don't want to overclock anything, but on the other hand, I do want everything to work with eachother properly, so maybe I have to go for the X570. The X470 should be fine also, bc I think I wont need PCI4.0 now, but maybe if I want a new GPU in 2 years it will make use of it. What are your thoughts?! Regards
  4. In my country the Asus X570 costs about 230 dollars... The good news is that I am currently on holliday in New York, where you can buy the X570 TUF for 190$ (Euro dollar rate is approx 1/1). Would that be a good investment, or should I just buy the Gigabyte X570 Gaming or the Asus Prime X570-P?
  5. So the cheap Gigabayte X570 gaming is perfect for this build? I mean, I can afford it, but I just dont know if it's better than the 180$ X470 boards
  6. Thanks for your reply! The problem is thst I dont have a RAM kit, I firstly had 8GB and later I bought an other secondhand 8GB RAM to throw it in my motherboard. Since that moment, my games frequently crash due a "Kernelbase.ddl". I dont know why, but there is a chance thwt those 2 rams just wont work together proppely. To sum up: I am not in a hurry to buy a new PC, bur I am just oriëntating for some upgrades in the near future (probably on Black Friday ) Regards!
  7. The Asus Prime X570-P is 184 Euros in my country, so it is just in my budget. I just doubt if this very cheap motherboard will be enough for the coning years. I actually want to have a good quality X470 if it is better than the cheapest X570. Does that make sense, or should I take the X570 instanly?
  8. Im living in The Netherlands. Bought this pc from a friend of mime, who built it. I wanted better perf on games, so I switched the 1060 3GB for an 1660TI. Unfortunately I didn't get a performabce increase, so now after some moths I decided to rebuild my pc (also because lately I get a lot of Kernelsbase.ddl crashes, which could be anything hardware related). I want to buy a new motherboard wirh a new CPU, and just to make sure I wil also buy a better PSU. On top of that I will format my 2 HDD'S, and buy a small 250GB SSD for Windows. So to conclude: I want to make a new pc but remain my GPU and my HDD'S, but let it feel very new. Regards
  9. Thanks for your response! I will upgrade my PSU to a 700W, but this is just my old one. I really need the 3700x for its more cores and overall beter performance.
  10. Hello everyone, I want to upgrade a few thinks on my current PC. In just need some help of you guys. My current specs: -Ryzen 5 1600 3gb -Asrock A320M-DGS -Nvidia Gtx1660TI -2x8GB Crucial RAM -3TB HDD Seagate Barracuda -Corsair 350W To start with, I want to upgrade my CPU to an 3700x. The performance is amazing, and I think it is a really big improvement over my current one. With that, I recently upgraded my GPU, so I think I won't replace my 1660TI yet, but maybe in about a year I will. My majore struggle is to choose a motherboard. I want that all the parts I choose will work together smoothly, but I actually don't want to get a X570. I am planning for a X470, but it could also be an B450. Can you guys give me some advise about the motherboards? I think I won't overclock the CPU, so I am not looking for a very high end motherboard with a fantastic cooling feature. I want a board in the 180$ range approx, so I was looking for maybe an Asus PRIME X470-Pro, Gigabyte X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING or an MSI X470 GAMING PRO MAX. This are the X470, but maybe an B450 won't decrease any performace so I will get one of those like the MSI Tomahawk Max. Will all the Bios updates work on the motherboards, and are there some brands I can better avoid? The last thing I am struggeling with is the RAM. I think I will go for 2x8gb, but I don't know what the best speed is. I've seen a lot different speeds, like 3000amhz and 3200 mhz, but I dont know of it is better to buy a faster RAM compared to a slightly lower Ram. Do you think you will notice the difference? Furthermore I want to buy a small SSD for Windows 10, so my PC will boot a lot faster. Do you guys think there is a difference in getting a standard Samsung EVO or an M2.0 SSD? I really hope you guys can help me out with this one. Best wishes from The Netherlands, Jelle
