  1. Hi fellow techgeeks! Just a general topic about steam vouchers. Now as I am currently living in China I found out you can't buy PC games are most of the IT malls in the big cities. You need to buy on Taobao a voucher of game voucher and then activate it. I tried this with a small amount of money, 7 dollars, and bought a small game voucher. Now after paying with Alipay you need to go to https://nansong.steamrobot.me/autoorder and login with your steam account. This is to receive the gift voucher of the game to your account's emailadress. I received it right away so far so good. However, after tying to activate it in my Steam for about 4 times I submitted a ticket at Steam Support. They informed me, 3 days later, that they can't support this kind of Gift distribution. I did get my money back from the webshop where I bought the voucher, but just want to warn any of you who perhaps live or gonna live in China and want to be PC games.... Don't buy Steam games in this way, it doesn't work and is not supported. FYI
  2. I have searched for you but it's indeed quite hard to get a key online. My best bet is to search ebay and such. Find a pyschical copy
  3. As I will be travelling from Shanghai to visit LTX and have experience organising events around gaming and hardware, would love to sign up in May and volunteer.
  4. Okay, second day for me to use FAH, started it and start Folding but after 1 and half hour nothing shows a sign of progress..... Now I know servers must be busy and such but one should expect something to display on screen right!? I can press the Stop Folding button and Start again but I doubt that gives the result I was hoping for...
  5. thanks bro, good explanation and i just wanted to double check this FAH newb didn't forget something.... Patience is a virtue
  6. Got a question, this morning it was folding for like 3 hours and LMG got them points, however not the GPU has status ready but I can't let it run again. Am I doing something wrong, I forget something?
  7. First time started op FAH, let's go to battle against diseases and COVID 19! Joined the LMG team of course :)
  8. Yeah good idea! Perhaps you can build this one and later on kinda see if you can sell stuff to add to your budget on that moment.
  9. Okay I understand. Well if the games you want to play already use 8Gb.RAM then I recommend 16Gb. RAM. For the GPU, I don't think it will do well in gaming, even desent nowadays. My advise is save more money, get a part time job somewhere I don't know. Imho you can make a nice office pc for 245 but no "decent" game/coding pc.
  10. What is or will be your budget and what you want to do with the computer?
  11. After backing up the data from the NAS, I made a new storage pool based on Jarsky's advice and this did the trick! Mapped network drive shows 1.8 TB available. Big thanks to everyone who responded to my topic! And thanks Jarsky for the solution Topic can be closed
  12. I am making a backup of the data to do what Jarsky adviced, guess I didn't select both drives on initial setup. Gonna do that and post result later. 2 and half hours of copying to go
  13. I will try that tomorrow, as it's now past 2 o'clock at night Will post the result here. Thank you for the your tip!
  14. Here are some screenshots, hope this helps
  15. Hi Guys, I have a question and hope you can help clearing this up. I have a Synology DS214se NAS with 2 x 1 TB WD Red harddisks. I made a pool for the 2 disks as JBOD so I have 2TB storage space. Via Hyper-Backup it's being backupped to elsewhere. I mapped the NAS in windows 10 but when I take a look I only see 1TB instead of 2TB. Is there anything I did wrong, forget a setting...? I hope you guys can help, thank you very much for your time!
