  1. A small update regarding the ASUS motherboard - it may be useful to someone: I've been writing to them every day for over a week and getting some style advice - update bios, reset CMOS, enable fan optimization, then again they told me to update the bios (in the meantime a new version came out) and so on from the beginning. It gives nothing, the fan walked at 3000rpm so it goes. What's worse, I always got answers after 3-4pm. So one pointless advice per day. In the end I gave the motherboard back to the store and gave me the money back. I didn't want to test another one for fear of the same problems, because it looks like there is no support for speed control for this fan.
  2. I have tried this too. Back plate seems to be really hot under load, but I don't think its the issue. Sometimes it breaks after 5-10 sec. It's before it even get hot. That could be it, but we won't find out anymore, unless the new one also has this problem lol Yes, today I was in shop and tomorrow I should receive new one. I have ordered again same one. We will see!
  3. Bios on b350 updated, works fine. All tests goes well on old hd5850, untill I change graphic card to rx 5700, then artefact appears after 10 sec of test CPU+GPU. Changed on old CPU on b350, GPU (rx5700) usage in FurMark is jumping up and down (CPU+GPU FurMark), but average is about 20-30%. Aaaaand artefact appear... Changed on old HD5850 to see once again if it's working fine, and it is as before. I put HD5850 into new PC, and I have constant FPS, and constant GPU usage. Test goes fine, 10 min no issues untill now. Don't know why I had GPU usage drop when test was on Quadro... So I think we got the answer, that problem was all time GPU, probably tested for not enough time before on i3, where was same symptoms like GPU usage dropping down. Still don't know why it appears only with CPU test, maybe I did not give enough time for test to warm up on only GPU mode. Thank you very much for your help!
  4. Next update, -I put old CPU into ASUS - no posting, VRAM error. - change memories - same VRAM error - put new CPU into old MB, no posting CPU led is on - changing memories - same thing.
  5. At work I have a PC with Ryzen 5 1400 and MSI b350. I will try to put this processor in this ASUS, I'm not sure if it will work the other way round. I will also try to replace RAM.
  6. Little update here what i made: - change M.2 slot - no changes, - change hard drive on normal SSD with SATA - no changes, - fresh install with fresh iso - no changes, - change graphic card and it was interesting, because quadro k4200 in FurMark was ~40 fps and the card load was 100%, everything looked good. When I turned on the CPU load, the card load dropped to 0%, in the test it was 1-2 fps, after turning off everything returned to normal When I put the rx 5700 into a second computer with i3 and turned on the GPU + CPU test, the computer walked correctly and smoothly, the load was also constant - not like in Ryzen, were GPU load going up and down.
  7. I already had such thoughts :D On the first slot CS: GO worked from the beginning max 2 min without issues. The described situation comes from the second slot. At first CS: GO did well (over 1h gaming). The next day, after ~ 10 min, artifacts appeared. Stress test are the same - that is, GPU + CPU gave artifacts. Only CPU or GPU - no problem. Tomorrow I can swap also SSD on 2nd slot.
  8. Yes, they have this processor and MB MSI X450 tomahawk max in place and there is no problem with replacement. The seller suggested replacing the GPU, but maybe they will have it in about a week. But if it was a CPU problem, the CPU stress test would also cause problems and this does not happen. Only if both are on at once. In addition, I have a problem with the proper operation of the fan on this plate, it still has about 3000 RPM or higher, I sent a notification and I am waiting for a response in this case from ASUS.
  9. Rest specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 MB: Asus TUF x570 gaming plus Power supply: bequiet System Power 9 600W Ram: Patriot 16GB 3733MHz Viper 4 CL17 Hard disk: ADATA 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe XPG SX8200 Pro Monitor: 1440p 144Hz Acer Nitro XV272U (HDMI) + old Dell 1920x1200 60HZ (DP)
  10. Yes 2 times fresh install With i3 I had 20-30 min of full CPU+GPU test and no artefacts. Good idea, I will definitely try it tomorrow morning.
  11. As I wrote in another thread, I have RX 5700 from Gigabyte for several days. From the very beginning there were problems with the artifacts, but can anyone explain why the artifacts do not appear when loading only the GPU? * 25 minutes OCCT 3D GPU Burner / FurMark - no problems, * CPU Burner on - after 30 sec artefacts as in the pictures, the pattern is always the same. In CS:GO similar, but after a longer time ~5-10 min of gaming. Below photo with long exposure + video. VID_20191020.mp4
  12. The reason for the appearance of artifacts is certainly not the motherboard as I previously assumed. At this point, the artifacts appear regardless of which slot the card is in. As for the loud motherboard fan, I'm waiting for an answer from Asus. I'll post it later here, maybe it will be useful to someone.
  13. Thanks for the answer, I am terribly frustrated with the whole situation, I have never had such problems before. Actually, there may be too many details here, I will try to edit this post and cut it from unnecessary information.
  14. 1. Artifacts on the screen and stability problem. On the upper PCI-e, CS: GO and Furmark (GPU test) gives artifacts after 1-2 minutes of operation. PoE has frame drops to 0 from time to time. Graphics card on the lower PCI-e port, CS: GO works stably, Furmark with GPU + CPU test gives artifacts after 1-2 minutes. The test of the GPU or CPU itself comes without major problems. I have very low fps compared to those in the reviews (up to 200 in CS:GO). The card tested on another computer (i3) works without major problems. How can I check what could be causing this? 2. Loud chipset fan noise The fan on the motherboard still works in the range 2600-3600 rpm without load. The whole is incredibly loud, should it work like that? It doesn't matter if the fan is covered by the card or not. Temperatures (~ 30st) are similar, same as rpm. On Monday I will definitely hand over the motherboard due to the fan noise. With the fact that I do not know yet whether to exchange for the same model or for another? Additionally: - latest bios uploaded (in the old one it was the same), - latest drivers, I installed windows twice - I replaced the power supply Other components are: Power supply: bequiet System Power 9 600W Ram: Patriot 16GB 3733MHz Viper 4 CL17 Hard disk: ADATA 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe XPG SX8200 Pro (bottom M2 with heat sink) Monitor: 1440p 144Hz Acer Nitro XV272U (HDMI) + old Dell 1920x1200 60HZ (DP) Cooler: Mugen 5 Case: Define R5 + 3 fans Thank you in advance for any help! #edit - I deleted unnecessary information, now it should be more transparent.
