  1. I know, but i wondering if a pci e card without extra power conector like molex or sata will bring the whole bandwidth to the usb 3.0 front ports. i read some issues in different forum with those missing.
  2. Ahoi at all. First of all: English is not my mother tounge. When I'm messing up words and as a result you do not understand my problem, please: ask straight forward. Problem: I'm building a pc. The motherboard has two integrated USB 3.0 ports. The case I want to build it in, has also four USB 3.0 ports. Those four front/ top ports from the case are needed to be connected to the motherboard via USB 3.0 internal plugs. My case has two of these. The problem is, my mobo has none USB 3.0 slot for this kind of USB 3.0 internal-plug. It has the normal USB 2.0 ones, two of it, but none for this USB 3.0 stuff. If i would use some kind of adapter from USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 i would loose transfer speed. Thats why I'm thinking about, to get some kind of PCI E card with one or more internal USB 3.0 internal slot to connect my front ports with it. I found something like this on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/PCI-e-X1-to-2-ports-19pin-USB3-0-Header-PCI-Express-to-Dual-20-Pin-USB-3-0-Card/252492182264?epid=2116729675&hash=item3ac9b4f2f8:g:BHUAAOSwdzVXp-O7 What I'm not sure about is: I had one of those PCI E to USB 3.0 hub in an other workstation of mine, an this had an extra molex or some sata slot for power support. Which is missing on this PCI E card i had found on ebay. My PCI E slots have one extra connector on the motherboard for additionally power through the PCI E slot itself, but what i am wondering is, if this PCI E card I had found is more show than help. I want those four front ports get to work als full USB 3.0 with the whole bandwidth. Does anyone had had some kind of same problem, experience, has an idea for another way to get this done or something totaly unexpected?
