  1. Hey guys I am having temp issues with my setup. I feel like i've only noticed it over the 6 months. My temps in my PC are super high. I have a pretty nice PC, with lots of cooling. The issue is the temps are getting so high my fans are constantly spinning all over the place. This is even with different fan profiles... the issue is the temps get so high it doesn't matter the fan profile, they will end up having to go full speed. Temps just using the operating system or browsing the web jump from 70-85 all the time. I've never had a processor run that hot without full load. Apps like PRIME 95 cause the temps to go up to almost 90. I attached pictures of my computer. A video of me running HW Monitor while running Cinebench. To hopefully help someone notice something... I also attached a HW Monitor log file if that helps. What else should i provide you? Running Cinebench Multicore kept the processor at 70-71 degrees actually... but voltage didn't go above 1.1v. It is really bothering me that just turning on the computer and logging in causes temps to go above 80 degrees, and then my fans have to ramp up (I'm assuming once the processor goes to around 85-90 it will throttle itself) Prime95 just completely throws temps into the 80s. Here is what i have done: - Fresh clean install of windows 11 - Took off the cooler, and put new thermal paste on it (This didn't do anything) The Cooler is a Corsair H150I Elite Capellix Cooler, with 3 fans. Processor: Ryzen 5900x Graphics Card: EVGA 3080 FTW (This never goes above 69 degrees under full load) Any help figuring this out would be appreciated... I wonder if i have a bad CPU or Cooler? The computer was build during covid. Video: HWMonitor.txt
  2. I completely remade my entertainment cabinet in my living room. Everything will now be enclosed behind tinted doors. I wanted to add airflow in the cabinets for my receiver etc. I currently use AC Infinity fans off of Amazon, however I’m on my third pair and they are making weird annoying noises etc. so I have some nice noctua black fans already I wanted to use them to cool the cabinet. is there a solution without rewriting etc. where I can control the fan speed of them and power them in the cabinet? And If there isn’t, is there another solution with a fan speed controller? After the ac infinity ones failing me I was willing to spend more on the noctua and some adapters etc
  3. Hello everyone, I have my Microsoft Account logged in to windows 10 and 11, they both have the exact same issue. But whenever i do a clean install, or get a new computer I set up a local account. The local account will change the user folder name to that local account. Everytime i log into my microsoft account it then syncs everything and changes the user folder name. I am trying to figure out how i can change the user folder name to what i want and it update on my windows account. I attached a picture of the folder name, but basically anytime i log into my windows account my user folder changes to "dmose". And i don't want it to say that. Does anyone know how i can change this? If i log out of my windows account and make only a local account then it changes it of course. But i want my windows account logged in.
  4. I ended up moving the pin straight again a couple of times, took awhile but i pushed all the pins back through the plastic shield, a low profile adapter to go into the case USB connector, and it ended up working luckily. Hopefully I don't have to take it back off again lol.
  5. I just got the steelseries artics pro + dac, and plugged it into my PC. I have the DAC set to PC, and I have side tone turned off on the DAC itself and checked the software and its turned off also. The problem i am having is I record my warzone videos with nvidia shadow play, when i view the playback of the videos you can hear the side tone in it, even though its turned off. So you can head my mouse clicks, everything in the background, the sidetone static etc, not just my voice when i talk and the game audio. Does anyone know how I can change this?
  6. Hey guys, building my new setup today I ran into a issue with the motherboard. The USB 3 header cable would not come out of the motherboard no matter what. After about 30 mins of carefully trying to do it, the entire square came off with it and the pins. I actually had to use pliers to then get rectangle cover off the case connector. Man it wouldn’t come off. Is there a trick? Anyway, after the cover came off, they never worked. I’m going to attach pictures so you Guys can see it, and give me any advice. It would suck to have to RMA the motherboard because of this. Case: Lian Li o11 xl dynamic mothetboard: Asus Strix x570-E
  7. This a picture of someone else’s to give you an example of what mine looked like but worse. https://m.imgur.com/a/EkpWO09 im not sure the solution. Is something wrong with the case? I’ve been doing this for a long time, I’ve never had this issue before. I tried a 1660ti, 2060. And my 3080. All had the same problem
  8. I attached pictures of the card. And a side pic of it pushed against everything
  9. Hey guys, I got my 3080 finally, I’ve been trying to get the card to seat in my pci-e slot and it just won’t click. Now it still works without being clicked into place. The reason I found was card is touching the motherboard sata connectors. So you can’t push it down any father. it’s also touching the VRAM fan cover as well. Has anyone else had any issues like this? my motherboard is the Asus x570-e. Case is the lian li o11 xl. I also had the issue with the motherboard where the holes don’t line up on this case for the graphics card. I had to Ben the metal to reAch them. its been a frustrating build
  10. Budget (including currency): 1,500-2,000 Country: USA hey guys. I am building a new build, and I am having a hard time debating between fans or water cooling. I will be waiting till I get a 3080 and the new Ryzen 5000 series so who knows at this point when it will be complete, but for now I’m planning. I want to have RGB fans in the case if i do fans. They would be Corsair QL fans. However doing that the price is close to water cooling. The case is Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL Full Tower white. So 9 fans. I’ve never water cooled, and I’m purely doing both these to make the case look as beautiful as possible, I won’t be over clocking or anything. I’m not worried about getting the best temps etc. Realistically. The computer won’t be on all the time. How much maintenance is water cooling? Will I have to do anything to it monthly? Yearly? That’s my big concern. By keeping the pc off for long periods of time like a week or two does that affect anything if it’s water cooled? And If I were to water cool do you suggest just using a distro block that mounts on the side? I bought the case because I’ve always loved it, and I know it’s made to be water cooled. But I wanted it anyway. any other suggestions I am ok with! I don’t mind doing some maintenance to it, but these days when I build a pc I don’t mess with it too much after the build.
  11. Hey guys, Does anyone know where I can find 25 foot power switch button adapter? I have my media and gaming pc in the basement directly under the living room. And I can run the cables just up the wall. I want to be able to turn the computer on and off without going down there each time. I have read keeping your pc in sleep mode for long periods of time is bad. Does anyone know of another solution or if there is something I can put into the PW motherboard slot and run it out the back up the wall?
