  1. Hi, I don't know if this is normal but my ryzen 3700x is almost all the time between 4.3 and 4.4 GHz even when at 0 % workload. The temp also jumps between 44 and 60 degrees celsius. I also tried Prime95 for 5 minutes and the CPU cooler kept the temp at 70 degrees celsius. Core voltage between 1.032 and 1.464 doesnt' go below 1.0 even when idle. I tried everything (updating windows to 1909, updating all the drivers, updated bios to f11, changing ryzen power settings to balanced in windows, setting CPU Vcore from auto to normal) nothing seems to work. Motherboard x570 aorus master and g.skill ram neo 32gb 3600 MHz CL16 (with XMP enabled). CPU cooler Scythe mugen PCGH edition. Will this reduce the lifespan of the CPU? Or cause any other damage?
  2. Hi, I hope someone can help me decide which components I should get and if i should go with AMD or Intel. PC will be used mostly for gaming, multimedia and also light work. I'm planning on using this pc for about 5 - 6 years. Is there a big difference between 3200 cl 14 and 3200 cl 16 and 3600 cl16 and cl 17 or cl 18 ram? I won't be overclocking RAM only use XMP. Budget around 1000 - 1100 €. GPU will be upgraded in a few months to go from 1080p gaming to 1440p. Current GPU sapphire nitro+ RX 580. I will use my old case Akasa Venom Strike for the new build. Important motherboard features: good audio(or should I buy a sound card?), bios flashback and clear cmos button, fan stop when temperatures allow it or no fan at all, high quality VRM for longevity, great connectivity like 6x 3.2 USB, at least 6x sata ports and 2-3x m.2 slots, POST code display... I'm not planning to overclock the CPU. And will GPUs need more than PCIE 3.0 x16 in 2- 3 years so that PCIE 4.0 will become more common? So the first build I have is this: CPU: Ryzen 3700x 329 € RAM 32 GB: here I could get (g. skill trident Z F4-3600C17D-32GTZ 153 €, NEO F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC for 188 €(now 236€)), (g. skill trident Z F4-3200C16D-32GTZ 137 € or g skill tri Z RGB F4-3200C16Q-32GTZR(200 €) and a few others up to 180 €), there were also F4-3600C16D-32GVKC ripjaws for 150 € and trident z rgb F4-3600C16D-32GTZRC for 181 € but they are out of stock now and I don't know when they will be back. 32gb 3200Mhz c14 ram costs around 300 - 400 €. There are a few games where I have to close browser tabs and use rammap before launching a game(mostly for cities skylines) so it would be nice to have a little headroom left. Motherboard: choosing between X570 aorus pro (268 €), ultra (304 €), master(396 €) and asus E gaming (291 €). PSU: RM750x (117€). CPU: cooler scythe mugen 5 for 49 € Or to avoid the PCH fan altogether should I go with the Second build: CPU: i9 9900k (528 €) RAM: 32gb 3200 mhz cl16 or 3600 cl 17 for around (150 €) or do I need 3200mhz cl14 or 3600mhz cl16 also for Intel? Motheboard: gigabyte aorus pro 191 € PSU: RM750x (117 €) CPU: Cooler scythe mugen 5 (49€) The second build has a more expensive CPU but no PCH fan and a cheaper motherboard and no PCIe 4.0.
