  1. Your missing the point that I said its not actually hot, can feel it blowing cold air. And this happens whether its been off 24 hours or asleep 15 seconds Like I said will be putting on a new cooler in a few days, so new paste as well. Just did the bios update, no change really. Actually its about 75 degrees constantly, not just after booting. Not going down
  2. This screenshot says alot, this is immediately after waking up from sleep. Last 2 or 3 weeks or so, when it boots from sleep the cpu fan is MAXED for like 10 minutes, no matter if im in power saver mode running like 1ghz (no loads regardless, no cpu usage) or my amd performance plan. Finally checked temps and it says 75 degrees, the second it wakes up from boot. There is absolutely no heat coming off the cpu fan though for those ten minutes so im at a loss.Have tried this booting from sleep, from off, windows update, changing my power plan around. Is not overclocked or anything, not sure what could be the issue. The one other thing i did do is take my side panel off and press my cpu pump/block thing into the cpu more, just in case gravity was causing it to not have enough mounting pressure. Let me know if anyone has any ideas. Iv ordered an air cooler that should show up this week, at the very least will be quieter then these god awful water cooler fans. specs ryzen 1700x asus prime x370 pro motherboard coolermaster masterliquid 240 aio cooler
  3. Nah they were blank. Did not know that they should be run periodically though, didn't know that at all thank you.
  4. Like I said its not an issue with the adapter. I have an identical 1tb Western digital purple that hasn't been in my closet and has been being used, and it's fine in it. Just the one in storage died. All drives mentioned are 3.5 inch and the adapter is powered by the wall
  5. I realize they're likely dead dead, but I am more curious as to why. 2 separate drives, different brands and capacities and manufacturing years. They have not been used in years, just sitting in my closet in an anti static bag, in a sealed ziploc bag. Just sitting there, no vibrations or drops or elements or humidity. I pulled one out (320gb hitachi from 2007) and it was dead, I thought it was weird as it had been fine before it was sitting, but normal for how old it was. Then today I pulled out the other (Western digital purple 1tb from 2016) and it is also dead. If anyone has ideas I would like to know, for future proper storage. Also as far as plugging them in I am using an external adapter to usb, I know it works cause the 2 drives I am mentioning won't boot up in any of my adapters, but a 3rd and 4th drive work just fine in the adapters. Thank you
