  1. Ill try disabling anything RGB, and unfortunately my other build is in another country so I cant really test mobos/processors. Regarding swapping out memory, The G.skill trident memory that was new 6 months new still caused BSOD on the old and new mobo,
  2. For the past 6 months I have been trying to troubleshoot my pc which BSOD 1 - 2 times a day randomly without any indication. Finally I thought today it would work as my new motherboard and ram that is QVL ram arrived, and my god the sadness that overcame me when it still BSOD. I have no idea what it could be now besides maybe the monitor, drives or psu. However all 3 of those have run fine for the past month with no issues on my old system. Furthermore I know everything else should work because I have another build with the exact same mobo, gpu, cpu, ram, hell even keyboard and mouse. So if somebody could please figure out the hell is wrong with my computer. When I mean I'e tried everything, I have tried everything that has been suggested to me/know. fresh windows install (reformat and everything, 5 times) memtestx86 on all 3 memory modules I have (Old kingston, New G.skill trident neo, new corsair) Update mobo bios single ram, on all 4 dimms with each stick try my other ram which I know works fine on my old setup installed amd software for my processor cleared cmos New Build (All these parts are new, I thought it was either a mobo or ram issue so I got a new mobo exactly the and this time QVL ram, and it still didnt work) - B450-F Asus - Ryzen 5 3600x - RTX 2070 Super - Corsair 3600mhz 8gb x 2 (CMW16GX4M2Z3600C18) - PSU Seasoinc 750 Gold Old Build (Stable) - Z270-H Asus - Intel i5-7600k - RTX 2070 Super - Some Old Kingston DDR4 2666mhz 8gb x 2 - PSU Seasoinc 750 Gold Please if anyone could help me before I rip my hair till im bald, you dont know how much trouble this has caused me.
  3. What do you mean by new windows? I installed through a USB 3 times, and reformatted everything through there? Doesn't that constitute as "new windows"? Also the computer is still running fine with the old hardware with no issue.
  4. Thats also what Im hoping and thinking as Mobos are more likely to fail rather than CPUs
  5. Yeah, all drivers and BIOS are up to date.
  6. Yeah, it still crashes. in fact I even tried to run my older ram with all the new specs (to test if the issue was the new ram), and it wouldn't run in XMP, whenever I tried to run in XMP it would reboot 3 times before starting up in non-XMP
  7. Sorry when I meant clean install, I also meant I formatted everything, So I have installed windows 3 times, with everything formatted, 3 times.I edited that post to correct the terminology
  8. Intro So I recently upgraded everything in my computer 3 months ago, everything is new besides the storage devices. Ever since I've upgraded I've gotten BSOD daily and honestly I don't mind, but I've recently gotten into Sims 4 (Never thought Id get into it) and that game keeps crashing within 5 minutes everytime for no reason whatsoever, so I was like f*** it ill finally figure out whats wrong So... I know that my GPU was working on another computer with no issues and I tested out the ram on another computer, so I narrowed it down to the Mobo or the CPU. To test this I switched out my new mobo and cpu with the older parts from 3 months ago (I put back my old Z270-h and i5-7600k and removed the newer B450-f and Ryzen 5 3600x) and to my surprise its been a day and no issues so far and not a single crash on the Sims 4. I know its either a hardware fault also because ive done a fresh install of windows 4 times and I still get the same issues so it isn't software. I've even done memtestx86 3 times with the G.skill and still doesn't work TL;DR, Is there anyway to distinguish whether the Mobo or CPU is faulty. Thanks! Basic System Specs New GPU: EVGA 2070 Super RAM: Gskill 16gb 3600mhz PSU: Seasonic 750W Gold (One of the two below which i believe is faulty) Mobo: Asus B450-F CPU: Ryzen 5 3600x Old mobo and Cpu which are working fine with the other new system specs Mobo: Asus Z270-H CPU: i5-7600k
  9. Update: I cleared cmos before switching RAM slots, and then it literally BSOD randomly in 5 minuites so that didnt fix it. Then I tried to switch to ram Slots 1 and 3, at first the PC rebooted 3 times before posting. After that it posted fine but I checked my memory frequency and it wasn't at DOCP so I restarted it, set it to DOCP and then it did the exact same 3 reboots before posting and when it did post it wasn't on DOCP. So from what I can tell on slots 1 and 3 the PC doesnt want to boot with DOCP ram.
  10. I'll give this a try for the time being and see if any bsod still occur
  11. Unfortunately I dont have extra RAM sticks I could test.
  12. Sorry this doesn't really help, as I have pretty much done all those solutions linus suggested, as I said in the post I have run memtest86, and furthermore I have reinstalled windows twice, in the past 3 months to make sure there were no leftover files and drivers when upgrading my system (going as far as using DDU) (didn't mention this in the post sorry).
  13. Hey everyone ive been having daily BSOD issues daily and occasionally up to 3 times per day, all occurring at random times. I have no clue what it may be caused by as the BSOD occur randomly with no warning, and the error codes are all over the place i.e. I get errors like DRIVER IQRL NOT LESS OR EQUAL, SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION, and PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA. I have recently changed every single part of my computer for better parts, so everything (Besides the drives) is less than 3 months old. I have already checked my BIOS and I am running the latest version. The only educated guess I can make about what is causing it may be the memory because it is not on the QVL list, however this is just my speculation, but I've done 8 pass throughs with memtest86 and it has passed them all. Specs OS: Windows 64bit Motherboard: ASUS B450-F GPU - EVGA RTX 2070 Super XC Ultra Ryzen 5 3600X 16gb 8x2 Gskill TridentZ DDR4 3600Mhz Seasonic Focus 750w Gold Drives 2 2TB Seagate Baraccudas 1 is from around 2013 1 is from 2020 1 M.2 WD Blue 500GB pcie SSD (2 years old) 1 250GB Kingston A400 (2 years old) If you guys want, below I have included the minidump files for the last 5 BSOD I've had, hopefully one of you will be able to read read those files and find the culprit. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Vd-W4FGCLo3WOs3pC7T6I3B5ZX1oVkZa?usp=sharing Thanks everyone, and I really hope my issue may be solved.
  14. "Enjoy blazing fast transfers at Gen 2 speeds via the USB 3.1 Type-C™ with DisplayPort™ 1.4, or connect an external display for superior multi-tasking." - Found this on the product page, "1 x Type C USB3.1 (GEN2) support DP function" - And this on the Sepcs page Then I guess that means it can run 1080p@144hz? I remember I read somewhere though that the bandwith of a USB-C (10Gbps) is unable to keep up with the required bandwith of 144hz or something. I might be pulling that outta my ass though.
  15. Hey everyone, i have a monitor than can run 144hz and am planning to get a Scar III, unfortunately my monitor doesn't support HDMI 2. After a bit of reading i found out thunderbolt 3 could woek but unfortunately the Scar III doesnt have thuderbolt 3, so I was wondering, could a USB-C to Displayport adpater run 1080p144hz
