  1. Will do, thanks
  2. Thing is, this is a mini-itx build... So I'll have to get the right GPU on my first try
  3. Hi, I'm building a PC for my brother and I was wondering if this build is decent or if there are any compatibility issues... Here are the basics: Usage: Gaming on a 1080p 60Hz monitor. He plans to play H1Z1, Rust and Rocket League CPU i5 - 7600K Kaby Lake Processor RAM HyperX Fury DDR4 2133MHz 16gb GPU Asus GeForce GTX 1060 3gb Dual OC Motherboard MSI B150I Gaming Pro AC socket-1151 Storage WD Desktop Black 2tb 2.5" Intel 600p 512GB M.2 PCIe SSD CPU Cooler Noctua NH-L9x65 CPU cooler Power Supply Corsair CX550M (550 Watt) Case 250D As far as I can tell these parts seem to be compatible with one another. Is a M.2 PCIe SSD worth it over SATA? It should be faster, but I'm not sure if it can be reused on his next pc build. Also, is the GPU good enough? Any help is greatly appreciated, Adrian
  4. Sounds perfect, although a few modifications... The direct cu 2 from as us doesn't work with the 250d because the heat pipes can melt the window Is the red better than the black as a secondary drive? Other than that thanks for the help!
  5. about 3 000$ to 3 500$
  6. I couldnt find the silent wing 2 fans on www.komplett.no and the 4770k is about 150$ more expensive than the 4670k. Is it worth it?
  7. For the PSU i have a 550W semi modular from corsair I don't really care too much about aesthetics, but lighting would be nice I have a 1tb ssd because i wanted more storage on my Macbook pro Is it really such a big difference with the z97 mobo? I dont feel like waiting that long and is the new sata express worth it? The wait for the new cpu will be quite a while and is there really a difference?
  8. This is my first build. I live in Norway and this pc is mostly for gaming. The games i will be playing are along the lines of starcraft II Monitor: ASUS PB278Q Case: Corsair 250D Motherboard: ROG Impact RAM: 16GB Crucial BallistiX sport CPU: 4670k CPU cooler: h100i GPU: 780ti MSI twin frozer IV Fans: 2 noctua 120mm for the h100i HDD: 3tb Western Digital black SSD: already bought - 1tb samsung 840 evo OS: Windows 8 Does this build seem good for you guys?
  9. ROG Swift, even though it hasnt been released yet
  10. too bad Facebook bought oculus though... If you really want to, then be prepared for all the ads.
  11. I'm planning to buy the ROG Swift for my setup, and was wondering which GPU(s) i should get for it. For those of you that don't know whats special about it, it's a 1440p 27" screen with g-sync and 120+ Hz. It looks awesome Do you guys have any tips? It has to be Nvidia to make use of g-sync though.
  12. Is there anyway i can close this thread or mark it solved? Update: nvm
  13. Thanks for the tips, ill get 800W and a 3gb 780 (not ti). If i ever need to get more fps, ill buy another one and run it in sli. Thanks for the tips!
  14. so basically everythings good except for the graphics card, i should simply get a 780 or a 780ti. But isnt it a good idea to get a 850W PSU if i ever plan to get another 780/780ti in the future?
  15. This is my first time building a PC. I live in Norway and my budget is about 3 500USD or 20 000 NOK. This is my build so far. Please note that i'm planning to buy the rog swift monitor, and that this is'nt included in the budget. This is designed as a Gaming PC for generally playing Starcraft II, but also whatever i feel like playing at max graphics. I am buying my parts from www.komplett.no CPU: intel 4670k CPU cooler: H100i - with the fans replaced by 2 noctua 120mm fans Case: Storm trooper - the new one with a window (gotta see dem GPUs) Motherboard: Maximus VI Formula - it looks epic, has bluetooth, wifi and supports sli GPU: 2 nvidia 770s running in sli - non reference so msi, this is for g-sync and 60+ fps with everything at max on a 1440p screen PSU: Corsair RM850 - 850W RAM: 4*4 Kingston ddr3 HyperX beast 2400mhz - its not that much more expensive than the other RAM cards OS: Windows 8 CPU paste: Noctua NT-H1 - practically the only one available Storage: WD 2 or 3 tb black with a 1tb samsung 840 EVO - the 1tb ssd is from mbp, i don't have to buy it Why i chose 850W GPU: 2*230W so about 2*300W (overclocking) CPU: 84W so about 100W (overclocking) The rest of the system: about 100W That amounts to 800W so im goong for 850W. Does this gaming PC seem good? I'm coming from apple computers, so i don't really know that much...
