Hi guys so I got a weird bug with my laptop (HP 15 bw014la), CPU usage is stuck on 45% like forever! it has AMD A9 9420 from 2016, but it got stuck at half capacity, system is pretty slow and the fan is spinning slow too (it was noisy as soon as it get warm) there's not much to do in the bios, just virtualization did a everything on windows and nothing happen I installed Ubuntu and still getting the same bug! system runs slow and fan barely working does anyone have any idea how to fix this? or is this just planned obsolesence so I buy a new laptop?

despite the time left, would it be a total failure due to the physical damage it has? Or because the OS uses bad sectors?

ohhh I see .. but I'm still thinking that the last big games I moved around the disk were what killed it however I did all the testing and ran all the commands to repair the disk and the operating system and everything went well, the last test I did was the reading test and now I'm a little bit confused haha

what's wrong about SSDs? it's only 2 years old but I think I know what I did wrong since then I have reinstalled windows and gta 5 (90Gb) twice, I uninstalled gta a couple weeks ago, then downloaded Genshin Impact (13Gb) and ran defrag as I usually do, it was 24% fragmented and I thought it would take hours to defrag because with only + 3% it takes +2 hours but this time it was done but this time it was done in less than an hour! this happend 3 days ago

oh I see, I'm going to check if I can use it as a secondary data drive after getting a new one. thx I will try it after I get a new one these are the details for this option

there are some features on Hard Disk Sentinel, I'm not sure which one and I think this should be done from another pc and I have read that this cannot be repaired with software so ..

Hi there so here's my situation... a friend told me about installing windows on a hard drive but checking its status first so he gave me the CrystalDiskInfo software just to test it on my laptop and it showed my hard drive is at risk I dont know if that is really a very bad number I did the " chkdsk /f /r /x "before boot because it is the main disk and everything went fine, even windows boot faster than before Should I buy a new hard drive ASAP? Or will it last longer but without writing a lot of data?

@Falcon1986 well.. 1. we are paying for 20mb 2. you mean the devices connected to the router? 4 smartphones, my laptop, and a smart TV connected via ethernet 3. the ethernet connection works perfectly but I use my laptop in my room and I don't have a long enough cable, which I would like to have by the way 4. the only device at home with 5GHz is smart tv, my laptop and phones are only 2.4GHz 5. there is only one wall between my laptop and the router and the distance is around 7 meters, it always shows a very good signal here's the graph, this is how it works in my room right now, @Alex Atkin UK (thank you for answering as well) I experienced this recently! now I'm always looking at wifi speed on my phone so this afternoon it started showing that 7mb limit and the laptop was working fine at the time, a few minutes later the laptop showed the limited speed too

@Donut417 thanks for answering omg, I just checked the internet speed on my phone and the same thing is happening as on the laptop it didn't do that until now.. or maybe it did it but I did not notice that hehee channels are fine apparently, so I guess I'm going to restore the router and in fact the socket where the router is plugged in just showed a voltage drop due to bad contact, i noticed on my tv it was flickering for a few milliseconds, they both share the socket so I'm going to fix it, maybe that's why the connection speed is changing... this was the highest speed and yes this is the actual connection speed the laptop shows it on a different scale, I don't know why..

Hello there I've had this issue since a couple of weeks, the wifi connection gets limited to 7 mbps but in a randomly behaviour and here's an example the absence of activity in the middle is because I suspended the laptop for a moment, the problem can be solved by turning the wifi off and on as well I have reinstalled the driver, downloaded an antivirus and ran a virus scan and everything went fine, unlink my university account that changed some settings on the system, and the problem is still there more and more frequent so, any solution? my laptop: HP 15-bw014la with AMD A9 9420, running Windows 10 Home single language 1909 (18363.1082)
