  1. On my current GTX 970, even with low settings, I can rarely run the application for more than a few hours without a crash. So far then, it looks like it will probably be the RX6800
  2. Basically, In Prepar3D, the base game itself will be fine with 8GB. However, when you install addons for the simulator, like better textures, new DLC's which use much higher amounts of VRAM, then the threshold will increase massively. The Prepar3D is more like a framework, of which you then install loads of modules on to build it up.
  3. The devs recommend 8GB of VRAM or More with the base game, but because I will be running so many more addons on the software, it will easily crash out with 8 GB VRAM, and it even crashes out with 11GB 2080Ti's fairly often as well
  4. So I've been looking around at the expected specs of the 3070Ti, and they're estimating 10GB of VRAM, so from that I'm thinking even the 3070Ti wont be enough
  5. But even with the faster VRAM, would that still be enough?
  6. Hi there, I am looking into purchasing a new graphics card to replace my GTX 970 with either a RTX 3060 Ti or the RTX 3070. However, I am not sure which one to go for. The reason for the upgrade is that my current card can't run the main application I run (Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D v5), and it always runs out of VRAM. I've heard that RTX 2080 Super's crash and run out of VRAM, so which card would be better to go for. Ideally I would get an RX 6800, but at the current UK prices they're way too much money for me. Many thanks, from Oliver
  7. I currently have an Asus P8Z77-V LX for my Overclocked i5-2500K with 16GB HyperX DDR3-1600 RAM , however I am looking to upgrade (if it's to the 9600K) to a Gigabyte Z390 UD, which is rated the best Motherboard for this low budget
  8. My other option is to just sit out and wait for the 10th gen to arrive and by then I might have enough money for the i7 10th gen
  9. It hit £150 a few months ago, but only for about 24 hours
  10. The reason I'm going for an i5-9600k is because it gives me good overclocking capabilities. Also, most importantly, I like to play x Plane 11, a flight simulator, which is very much a more cpu intensive software. In this, clock speed is more important than hyperthreading or core count, and on a budget they recommended the i5-9600K. I've been closely monitoring the price of this cpu for a while and it seems I can get it for as low as £150 on amazon
  11. Hi there, Im planning on selling my i5-2500k, Intel Stock, ASUS P8Z77-V LX Motherboard and 16GB HyperX DDR3-1666 MHz RAM. However, I'm not exactly sure which is the best way to sell it and also for what price to sell it for Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Many thanks
  12. Because I want to be able to run a powerful cpu which has good clock speed and i can overclock
  13. But I’m assuming i could just get it sent back for not working then
  14. Because the Motherboard I’m looking at ( Gigabyte Z370 P D3) says intel 8th gen compatible so could it work on the 9th gen? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0775JBB87/ref=psdc_430512031_t1_B07BKJTJLS
  15. Hi there, i am looking for an upgrade to an i5 9th gen but am not sure on the motherboard - on PC Part Picker it says there is compatibility isues with the i5-9600K and a Z370 motherboard. Is this true as a Z390 is a lot more money? Also, if it is, are there some Z370 Motherboards that are compatible with it? Thanks very much
