  1. Thanks for the advice, guys. I have already returned the c740 and I'm on the fence of buying the surface pro 7. Microsoft has a huge student discount on it.
  2. Hi guys! I recently bought a new laptop with the help of our magnificent GeneXiS_X and despite his warning I went ahead and bought one of Lenovo's 7 series Yoga, the C740 to be precise. He warned me about their QC issues and he was right. I had to return one because of some dead pixels. I was very pleased with the second one until I noticed that a part of the bezel pops out every time I switch it into tablet mode.( I'll include a pic) I use it mainly for taking notes with a stylus and coding on Visual Studio. Should I worry about this issue? Im thinking about returning it and buying some other laptop. Im willing to spend around 1200 Euro. The 2-in-1 factor really works wonders for my use case. Got any suggestions?
  3. Oh my... Thanks for reminding me about the way this kind of config works. I think I'm gonna get the 8Gb model and upgrade later If i need to.
  4. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07W5MMQ3J/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A1685R6739O6PG&psc=1 I think I'm gonna bite the bullet and buy this one. It is from a newer batch which hopefully means there's a smaller chance of me having to deal with qc issues. This one has 12Gbs of ram instead of 8 and the price increase is minimal. It also lacks a dGPU so battery life should be less of an issue. Moreover I'll be installing Linux and Windows in dualboot. Using Linux will further increase the battery life, or at least thats what I've heard.
  5. The L390 Yoga is a bit out of my budget. I haven't found one under $900. However I found this 730 Yoga on amazon which is ironically cheaper than any offer I've seen so far from european retailers: https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Touch-Screen-i5-8250U-Thunderbolt-Fingerprint/dp/B07CKVLP4V/ref=sm_n_au_dka_RO_pr_con_0_0?adId=B07CKVLP4V&creativeASIN=B07CKVLP4V&linkId=3b510bee569afc33f585cee56f99c912&tag=tchsptpf-20&linkCode=w41&ref-refURL=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.techspot.com%2Fproducts%2Flaptops%2Flenovo-yoga-15-730.183607%2F&slotNum=0&imprToken=zcT.iO-CCb7x3EC5qNQRcw&adType=smart&adMode=auto&adFormat=grid&impressionTimestamp=1570635386313&th=1&psc=1 I'm ready to get my hands on this puppy. Is there anything else I should think about before acquiring this 730?
  6. I learn with higher efficiency when I highlight and note stuff with a pen. That's why I need a 2in1. It would basically free me from the hassle of having to print and carry with me around 100 pages every week. I realized this while I was thinking about the different use cases of my future laptop. I will take a look at the models that you recommended.
  7. I have been looking for a competitor for the HP Envy X360 but I can't seem to find a good one. For instance Lenovo's options seem to lack upgradeability and keyboard quality from what I've read. Are there any other laptops I should take a look at before buying the Envy x360?
  8. After some more digging around i found this on amazon: https://www.amazon.de/gp/aw/d/B07L3LH4QN/ref=cm_cr_othr_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8#cm_cr_carousel_images_section Is this a good deal? Does this laptop have any uncommon issues? It is a bit pricier but the reviews Ive seen say a lot of good things about it.
  9. Ok. I take it that the HP Probook x360 has "average" build quality.
  10. After looking at every option I came to the conclusion that the Lenovo e590 seems to be the best of the bunch. However I realized that a touchscreen would be really useful. The HP Probook x360 looks compelling from this POV but Im worried about the lack of reviews on yt and the use of cheaper materials. The "perfect laptop" for me would basically be a Lenovo e590 with a touchscreen. Is there something on the market that has similar features to the e590 and a touch display? P.S. Im willing to increase my budget if necessary for that touchscreen.
  11. Thank you so much GeneXiS_X. I am most grateful. I'll decide which one i'll buy tomorrow after i take a deeper look at these options.
  12. @GeneXiS_X So should I consider any other options or is the E590 the right pick?
  13. I usually find better deals on amazon uk/de but when I don't I take a look at these sites: https://www.pcgarage.ro/ https://m.emag.ro/ https://m.cel.ro/ btw what do you think about the e590?
