  1. ok thank you a lot I will look into that over the weekend.
  2. Atm ist Copperbased VDSL with 30mbit. The new provider will put in new fiber up to the home (FTTH) and install an ONT but nothing more. That will then provide 300 mbit.
  3. Ok the "Fritzbox" is an all in on thing with Router, modem, VoIp box, answering machine,Wlan, 500mb NAS and 6 Lan ports.. they are pretty common here.. I guess some of the problems root from it being a bad mashup of tech.
  4. This would also be a project for another time, since the router needs to be in my wifes office atm and there isn't enough room for another pc. and rerouting cables would take quite a bit of time that I can't spare right now.
  5. The Internet speed with the new provider will be 300 mbit down 40mbit up. Maybe i missed it, but is there Voip to i can connect my landline with it, with the Nighthawk. In any Case I would need a few alternatives, since my wife wants to be included in the decision and have a few options to pick from.
  6. Don't really have a lot of time in the next few month and not that much experience with routers. So that would be an option for another time.
  7. There will soon be a new ISP where I am and they require me to get a router of my own. Additionally my current ISP tells me that most of the Problems that I have with them atm are because of the router they send us a few years back.. so either way I will have to get a new router. I don't know all that much about routers and what makes a good one, but in the past I was told more than once that the problems I encountered were caused by the "Fritzbox" that I was provided by the ISP I most likely will need VoIP, an answering machine, Wlan and maybe some kind of mesh since one wLan isn't enough to reach every corner of the house. If possible I would like to spend a maximum of 350-400$ and I wouldn't mind paying less. Oh and something without gaming in the Title would make it easier to get it partly reimbursed form taxes
  8. I guess will try a macropad. I have been looking over keyboard for the past week and nothing really spoke to me. Thx for the answers.
  9. I am not the biggest fan of 65% for gaming. TKL would be preferred, but Full size works for me as well.
  10. Hi I am looking for a new keyboard for gaming (might stream for friends sometimes). Atm I am using a "Cooler Master Storm Quick FIRE TK" with cherry mx red. I love the feel of the cherry mx reds and for the most part I like my keyboard, but I am looking for a Keyboard with more features (a few macro keys). I'm not 100% sure what exactly I am looking for and the filters on the common stores don't really help. It would help me a lot, if I could get some suggestions that I can look into. Budget ~ 150$
