  1. Hi, my pc has been annoying for a while, so I figured I'd factory reset it and take the time hit on installing all the shit I'd lose later. Turns out there was a myriad of problems - long story short i had to do a very troublesome fresh install of windows. See the problem now is, that after formatting some of my m.2 drives in order to change the windows download to a larger 2tb m.2 rather than my previous 500gb m.2, none of the drives show up in my bios when selecting boot drives, but they do register as being connected in the bios under drives. I was also able to somehow boot onto the ADATA m.2 drive by disabling all boot drives in the bios, but i really dont see this being a valid solution long term, since i have to select which operating system i have to boot on every time i start the pc. I cant add images to the post in this subreddit, but ill attach a imgur link to some images that might help: https://imgur.com/gallery/0R4dngr I look forward to reading your suggestions, thank you very much in advance.
  2. these are alot of words i dont really understand. But its the end towards the psu cable and not the one connecting to the motherboard. So there shouldnt be any posibility for a wire to hit anything as to cause a short, since the "active" wire is still tucked away in the main PSU cable and even further into the extensions plastic part
  3. I mean its a cablemod extentioncable. Technically he is using the cable from the PSU manufacturer, whilst just passing the connecting current through the cablemod cable (which i atleast, feel like is a very well acclaimed and respected cable company, as opposed to some chinese cable extensions)
  4. hmm, its a modular psu, and its not the cable from the psu manufacturer. Its the cablemod 24 pin extension alone. Do you think it couldve fried the psu or something like that. In my mind it just would've pumped power to nowhere, which i suppose couldve caused damage

  6. Hi LTT forum, I helped build a top-of-the-line PC for my friend a bunch of years back (although not with the cable-management). He's recently been experiencing problems with lag and disconnections. I've told him to update his bios, check his internet, and monitor some data to see if there was any correlation between abrupt spikes and the problems, all to no avail. So he's tried factory resetting the system. Today he rang me up, saying that a pin had come loose on the 24pin cablemod extension cable (for who knows how long). From what I can tell from the pictures, it seems to be the 13th (+3.3v) pin that has come out of its socket. What kinds of errors and problems could this have caused? Could this be the cause behind his troubles, and how bad/what hidden damage may it have caused to other components such as the CPU, MB, GPU, and so on? Thanks for your attention. I’m looking forward to your replies
  7. That makes plenty of sense. It is a marginally small consumer-base that would be interested in those types of videos. I suppose what i ment, was as user 8tg also explains, that something like the tracking really isnt worth testing or including (which it isn't) in videos such as those on ShortCircuit on the Finalmouse Starlight-12, Deathadder or Glorious Model D. Whereas something like a measurement of friction might be a little more interesting, since this might be where the mice differ more (other that weight and shape). I suppose it probably lends itself better towards being a singular video comparing different selections of mouse skates on something like the logitech GPX, or a single video comparing some of new mousepads from Artisan, lethal gaming gear, and other brands, much like the one about the glass mousepad on ShortCircuit. Perhaps something like mechanical keyboard switch blind test video, but with mouse pads (idk how it would work xD). But i'm not very knowledgable on the subject, but it's cool to hear that you've thought about it though
  8. Hi, LTT forum (and hopefully someone at LTT). I've been looking at mouse skates and mousepads, and there really isn't any concrete data to describe the speed/control/friction of mousepads and/or mouse skates. I feel like the geniuses at the LAB could make like a piston thingy to push a mouse across the mousepad (for a slide test. Idk if they could figure out something for a spin test). Because then you could compare the glide between them. Currently, it's just a subjective thing right now, where individuals describe their experiences in a review. But it would be really handy to be able to compare these things for the more competitive oriented gamers. Like the difference between the glide of the variations of ie. the corepads default, ctrl and air variations or the esp tiger skates. LTT isn't really doing much with mousepad reviews. They could also include something like the tracking "benchmark" that Alex did for the video about their own mousepads. This would be especially cool since the mousepad "industry" has evolved quite a bit since Japanese manufacturers like artisan really stepped up the game in both quality and variety.
  9. ive just tried adding league under Graphic settings and setting it to high performance, this should force the client to use the 3080
  10. my thing is in danish, but i dont really think anything matches what people are reccomending, ive tried changing something, but im not ingame yet
  11. I dont recall there being a option to choose graphics card ingame in league, but i have chosen Gefore rtx 3080 as my "OpenGl giving GPU" idk if thats the thing (or what its called in english)
  12. Shame on me for using a 3080 for playing lol. I know. Just waiting for them to fix cyberpunk. Okay, so i have a i5 9600k, 32gb 3200MHz Trident ram, and a MSI rtx 3080 Suprim x clocked at 1965 MHz, 1000 watt gold Seasonic. When im playing League, i get around 100 fps, not consistantly above that, and there are WAY to many frame drops down to 60 fps, or even 30. I DONT KNOW WHY. I should be getting like 400 fps. I dont have the FPS capped. I've updated drivers, and reinstalled them. I've restored Nvidia control panel settings, and what-not. Even with everything on low, and everything turned down how riot reccomends it, it still only gets 100 fps. I dont get it. Does anyone have a fix? Here is my benchmark after overclocking. I've turned some settings down now, cus i thought it could be the fault, but it wasnt. https://www.3dmark.com/spy/17843649
  13. I've done that already in chrome, which has no effect on the sites. It is also changed in edge which i haven't even opened op the settings in.
