  1. Hello, just setting up my new PC and have a thought I am not sure on. I have 6 Corsair LL120 RGB fans + the H100i RGB twin fan cooler. If I run the 6 through the Corsair Commander PRO RGB hub, will I still be able to sync the radiator fans by plugging them in directly to the motherboard? The MoBo is an Asus Prime x570-PRO. If not, does anyone know of any RGB Hubs that can accommodate 8 Fans and supports iCue?
  2. Hey folks. I've just got all my new parts for my first PC build. I bought an AIO and didn't realise it comes with a thermal pad pre installed and bought myself Kryonought from Thermal Grizzly too. Should I clean off the thermal pad pre installed and use the Kryonought or just go with what's pre installed? Thanks
  3. Thanks guys, I am not clued up enough to know what the impact of timing differences would make.
  4. I am building a new PC and I'm stuck between two sets of RAM. It's a Ryzen 3900X build. G. Skill Trident Neo 64GB. Set one is 3200 MHz, CL16, 16-18-18-38 timings for $348 and some change. Set two is 3600 MHz, CL16, 16-19-19-39 timings for $359. The computer will be used for real time audio recording, production and video animation such as After Effects and Cinema 4D. Open to suggestions on other options around this price range also but as it stands, I do like these ones. Please find links below to both sets if required. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/9sJmP6/gskill-trident-z-neo-64-gb-4-x-16-gb-ddr4-3200-memory-f4-3200c16q-64gtzn - 3200 MHz set https://pcpartpicker.com/product/hFdrxr/gskill-trident-z-neo-64-gb-4-x-16-gb-ddr4-3600-memory-f4-3600c16q-64gtznc - 3600 MHz set
  5. A trashed speaker is an easy fix though and probably makes it still a bargain. Open it up and buy the exact cone from aliexpress, shouldn't cost much As for the difference in sound quality between optical and normal connection types is so fine. I have a set of Yamaha HS-08's studio reference monitors and even these things can't process an audible difference in terms of quality of sound reproduction. It's something I would consider though on anything that supports Dolby Atmos purely for the better allocation of stereo field use or on any surround sounds worth the 4 figure mark. Most cones below that point aren't capable of that type of fine detail.
  6. The SSD's make sense to me, I have tonnes of software. The audio stuff and system stuff on the M.2, my video editing on the secondary SSD which doesn't need to be used as quickly in real time.
  7. That isn't very helpful or insightful to be honest. Any suggestions other than "you have bad choice"?
  8. It wouldn't do much of a difference I don't think. Personally, I am an audiophile, so maybe my opinion should be taken with a pinch of salt, but define "budget". There are some fantastic surround kits these days, but at the price people are charging for good ones... You're probably better off with a mid range Hi Fi that supports Dolby Atmos
  9. Hey folks, I am looking to build a new PC and am fairly new to this. Please find below a link to the system I've put together. I am open to any advice on things to change. The PC will be used for both audio production (FL Studio) and video animation (After Effects and some light to moderate Cinema 4D). My preferred budget would be right around the $3k mark. Please note, some of the prices disappear, currently RAM and case aren't listed. The Ram is $402 and the case is $216, bringing the total to a little over $3k Thanks in advance :) https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/gJv6hg
