  1. Ahh thank you @Dujith that's what I needed to know!
  2. It definitely down grades my video. My xbox 1 x won't run on the same settings when it's passed though. I'm thinking the sound bar being older is just HDMI 1.4 or 2.0a. Plus then I only can use the bar with that one device that is plugged into it. I watched a tv review and I might have misunderstood stood but I thought in the video he was only using the arc HDMI port for his audio and still using the other ports.
  3. Hello. Ok so I just ordered the new TCL r625 as a bedroom tv for my wife and I, seeing how tv speakers are pretty horrible. I figured I would use an older Samsung sound bar I have laying around. The sound bar allows me to plug an HDMI in and out. I don't want to plug anything in because it's older and I'm pretty sure it's going to degrade video quality. So do tvs that support arc allow you to use the HDMI only for audio out to a sound system and still use your other HDMI ports as normal?
  4. Hello every one! I'm new to the forum here but have been following linus for a long time. So here is my situation. I'm currently using beats studio wireless to play my xbox1x at night so I don't wake up my 2 toddler boys (or worse my wife ahhhhh!). So imo the beats suck for this and pretty much every other thing I have used them for. So here's what I need your all's advise with. What should I get? I'm open to either a gaming headset or a pair of wireless headphones. Below is a list of my usage and wants. Uses: gaming on xb1x, play station, watching movies, and YouTube (mostly LTT). Not needed: I really don't use mics to talk awhile gaming much I wouldn't be opposed to using the head phones for this reason but would still prefer to have the option to chat. Wants: amazing sound quality both gaming and movies is the up most important thing for me. I would like something that has a good surround sound like effect, and be able to use with the dolby atmos app on xbox. I mostly use xbox so that needs to come first but would also like to use on others platforms mostly ps4 and pc, that being said I'm willing to use a wired set up if needed. Thanks for your help guys! I didn't know where else to turn on this issue.
