  1. Thanks for clearing that up for me. That's too bad but still better then what I had. My main gpu is a 1080 so I'll be fine. Thanks for the help, I'll be receiving it tomorrow
  2. I have a secondary rig with a 980ti in it (dp 1,2), I should be just fine hooking that up to the screen if I wanted, right? Thank you for your help, I'll be ordering the LG when I get off work
  3. Cheers for the reply. I have read the same regarding Acer's QC on that specific monitor. I wouldn't say 200 is an issue for me but it bumps it up to an uncomfortable 1k price tag which imo is not totally justified just by putting 1ms and pseudo HDR on the box. I think I'll bite the bullet and opt for the LG as it has a better panel. Are there any performance related drawbacks to running freesync 2 on an Nvidia card compared to a gsync module? Besides the tighter frame range?
  4. Hi guys, I'm a little bit on the fence about my next purchase and maybe one of you guys can help me pull the trigger. I'm currently using a Dell Ultrasharp 2560x1080 60hz monitor and its time to upgrade. My current screen is an ultrawide and i simply don't want to go back to 16:9. So i guess its time to break the bank :') I want a high refresh rate and prefer IPS over TN/VA. I was able to narrow down my decision between the following 2 monitors: LG 34GK950F FreeSync 2 144HZ ips 1MS (i know, its marketing, but it still has great response times) Retails for €1040 Acer Predator X34P G-Sync 100-120HZ OC ips 4ms Retails for €799 The Alienware is a no-go as it retails for €1069 (hehe) where i live, which i find a little steep since it has similar specs to the Acer. The Acer is an older panel from last year but has dropped in price significantly. I'm leaning towards the LG, it has 144hz opposed to Acer's 120hz, but no G-Sync. The LG also has better response times and is calibrated from factory, as i do not possess hardware to calibrate the screen myself (i read some bad stories about the Acer being poorly calibrated from factory) What do you guys say? Swallow the extra 240 and go for the LG or save a buck and opt for the slightly less amazing Acer Predator X34P? Thanks! :)
