I though it would be written below the post. Anyway CPU : R3600X GPU 370ti / 1070 RAM : 24 Go @ 3000Mhz PSU : 850 W

I used to play VR on headset on my 1070 GPU, which was working fine. Lately i decided to upgrade to a 3070 ti. At first i didn't notice any difference. But after some time, my computer would crash while my GPU was under heavier load. Crash are black screens on both monitor and in the VR headset. I have to turn off and turn on the computer to be able to use it again. This NEVER happened with my 1070, even though i play the same games. I knew something was really wrong when i played Half-life Alyx. On my 3070 ti the game is super laggy (very very low FPS) and crashes after a few minutes (at first). But on my 1070, i have NO issue what so ever. Which is quite surprising considering that a 3070 ti should be more powerful. So i played the start of the game on my 1070. Then i switch to the 3070ti, and amazingly it worked almost perfectly : some weird stuttering on loading screens. But at least it was playable. And i managed to finish the whole game with the 3070ti. Today, i played DCS in vr on my 3070 ti, and it crashed after a few minutes (black screens again). But FPS felt fine. And this is really weird because when i played DCS around a month ago on the 3070 ti, it didn't had any issue (no issue with 1070 either). So i think it may be some kind of driver issue. I tried reinstalling Windows Mixed Reality and Steam VR but it didn't work. I tried to reinstall GPU drivers (GeForce experience) without any results. It is to be noted that when i have a crash the 3070ti is at around 83°C. Also, when not in VR the card performs better than the 1070 (in terms of FPS count), but the black screens still happens but very very rarely. Does anybody know what could be the issue ? Also, i don't know if it is normal but when switch from one GPU to another, Nvidia doesn't tell me that my driver needs to replace. Are the 1070 drivers and 3070 ti drivers compatible ? In the i just bought the same PS3 controller that i had. And went with the same set up. And it works like it used to of course

I'm looking for a controller that has bluetooth capabilities. I guess the obvious go to controller is a PS4 controller. But what do you guys have to say ? I want to connect through a wire for my desktop)and via bluetooth to play on my laptop (and maybe my phone if that's possible). I used to borrow a PS3 controller that was very adequate to these taks, i guess could just buy one. Anyway, what do you guys recommend ?

When i start my computer, everything runs as expected until windows finishes booting. At that moment (right when i should see the windows desktop), my graphic card stops outputting HDMI signal, i have to unplug and re-plug the cable and it works like it should. I've updated the Nvidia drivers yesterday but it didn't solve the problem. Do you guys have encounter this problem before?

By the way, is it worth buying a replacement battery now ?

I'd like to know how to extend my battery life span (limit the wear of the battery over time). Any tips or habits that i should be aware of. I have a Lenovo ideapad flex 5, and i'm impressed on how little time the battery takes to recharge. I heard somewhere that charging a battery at a fast rate can be more damaging to it, than charging at a slower rate (take this with a grain of salt of course). Maybe there's a mode that charges my battery faster? What do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, i said CAD just in case but that's definetly not a disater if my laptop cannot do CAD. With that said, any recommendations? How about a chromebook? It usually says that chromebooks have like 64Go of SSD capacity, i feel like this is comicly low.

Hello, Budget : under 400 $ So i'm looking for a laptop for school. Writing word documents and excel sheets. I will learn CAD but i think that's out of my price range. Of course i want a battery that can last a day( while using word/excel), and a good boot time (SSD it is). Bonus points if it has a touchscreen. I'm not planing on playing games on it, however i want to use Nvidia Geforce Now to stream games on my laptop. That one kind of caught my eye but i'm concerned that the amount of RAM is low. I have a good desktop computer but i don't want to carry it in my new appartment. Is there a way to stream desktop computer to my laptop? (alternative to Nvidia Geforce Now). Thanks a lot guys.

Hopefully there's a wifi I can borrow. That's where a laptop comes useful.

So what do you to look for (compatibility wise) when adding sticks of RAM? For instance is it possible to add 2 sticks of 8gb when i already have 2 sticks of 4gb?

I feel like my current temps are pretty high especially when idling it's around 40ºC. And while gaming (AC Odyssey) it's around 55ºC . I already made a post about that issue but people told that it was normal for a processor.

I know that there's a website that will check if your drivers are up to date but I don't remember what it's called? Do you have any to update all drivers at Once?

Hi, So my mouse randomly disconnect since i change my motherboard, (and my RAM, and my CPU, and my case, and my PSU). Usually it's connected directly through the motherboard with an extension usb cable. i did the exact same thing with my old motherboard and it worked flawlessly. I tried to connect my mouse (without the extension cable) through my case : same deal,tried with other mouses : same deal. I dis tried to update the mouse drivers (by right-clicking at the windows logo) but it says it's already up to date. I even update the BIOS a month ago and nothing changed. When my mouse suddenly stops working, it says (in parameters > peripherals) that windows couldn't identify the peripheral. What can i do t fix thi issue then?

Here's the deal : I have a Cryorig H7 plus (Air cooler) with two fans which can spin at 1500rpm. And i also have another fan which can spin up to 2200rpm but i only have one. The two 1500rpm fans are connected with a fan cable splitter. So my idea is to simply connect the 1500rpm fan on one side and the 2200rpm fan on the other. So i'm wondering if i replace one "slow" fan for the fast fan could result in any problem? And if replacing the fan will improve my cooling?

Hello, I bought a used GPU and it has has coil whine and i'm Wondering if it could be a sign that my GPU has other problems that could appear in the future? Currently it works has expected, except for the noise. It's a 1070 from gigabyte. I know I can't do anything about it, but if it's only the noise it's fine for me.

Hi guys, So after upgrading my CPU for a Ryzen 5 3600X, it's now time for my GPU. With chrismas closing in I think it's a about time to buy one. But which one? Currently i have a gtx 1050ti. My goal is to play the latest games at 60fps at hish settings, i don't need ray-tracing and all the fancy stuff. And keep it like that for a few years. Hopefully it's not too much to ask. I wanted to invest around 200$ but i think it won't be enough. At first i wanted to buy a used VEGA 56 but with my PSU i thinks it's a bit risky, then i settled on a GTX 1660. So what are your advices?

Update Ok so i've just installed Ryzen Master and it says that my CPU temperature about 10°C cooler than what SIV from my motherboard says. Is there an explanation or my computer is going to explode? By the way thanks for all the answers
