  1. One thing I am sure of is that whatever laptop it may be, I am getting a cooling pad and will always ensure to stop my temps from going absurdly high by either running the fans at max RPM or turning down the settings if it's a game. So the cooling will always be something I am keeping an eye out for. Also which of these would you say has a better display and durability?
  2. I appreciate you trying to help me according to my region but I would also like to know the general reputation of the laptops. Whether they are actually good or not and are there any problems that are faced by anyone regardless of their region.
  3. Well Acer I already am dicey about but it was HP that seemed a bit weird. I was hypothesising that the CPU and GPU in HP might be underpowered that is why they supposedly have better cooling. As for Dell I am not sure, a reviewer I have followed to choose the best laptop seems to be hating it because the screen has a bad response time and apparently Dell laptops have a reputation for overheating?
  4. I have used RealVNC across a Mac, Windows, and a Linux Machine. It works superb and you can also a phone or a tablet to connect to them. This was happening to me but the performance of VNC does depend on your computer. When comparing VNC on my Linux machine that runs an Intel Q8300 and my 2019 27in i5 Mac, the Mac is smoother but there is no response latency. Try it for yourself you might like it.
  5. I have 2 external HDDs that are online almost always but I feel that they heat up a lot as sometimes they feel very hot to touch. I would like to setup a cooling system for them using fans and usb or wall power, also if possible a way to control the fan speeds. Keep in mind I will be making an enclosure out of cardboard for them so I am pretty flexible in terms of changes, right now. The pic is of the DISKs IMG_0703.HEIC
  6. I would prefer to be run through the steps of what you mentioned to get a better understanding of what exactly did you mean.
  7. I have a Windows Desktop( Intel Q8300, 4GB RAM, 932 GB HDD). Around 300 GB of the disk has data and I don't wanna mess with that so I would like to partition the disk so that I can have a second OS running. Whatever I do, I shouldn't have to bother with the 300 GB of data. The system will be used as a media or storage server.
  8. Wow, developed a new insight. Thank you everyone.
  9. I have a bunch of Xbox 360 games but the console itself is now pretty old and doesn't run the games up to mark. Is there some way for them to be run in Windows 10 ?
  10. @tTowntTom what software do you recommend for me based on what I have described here ?
