  1. i'm a complete rookie with this sort of thing. should i take it apart to check if it's a thermal paste issue and try and fix it myself or just hand it back to the guy that messed up (who i over paid). it's quite a drive what would you recommend. hopefully i haven't already fried it...
  2. yes. that's spinning. the only fan that's not running is the graphics card fan. after some research I think the error is a thermal paste issue but the fact that the graphics card fan isn't running is weird to me
  3. Hello. I'm getting this CPU Over Temperature Error after getting my pc back from the computer technicians. I'm a fish out of water when it comes to these sort of things which is why i took it to a professional to rebuild it instead of trying to do it myself.. i'm getting this error and in the asus uefi bios it's showing a cpu temp of +90. after some research i read that this error generally comes up when not applying any or enough thermal paste to the cpu (disappointing to pay for such a rookie mistake). once i opened the case and run it i noticed the graphics card fans not spinning and i'm wondering if this is normal? i've read that this isn't that big of a deal as it needs to (when over heating) but this doesn't sound right to me, i expect it to instantly run... ( the model is strix-gtx970-dc2oc-4gd5 if this helps) Thank you
