  1. I bought an I7 9700k two days ago along with a msi motherboard abd hyperx predator rgb 3200hz. But lately i have been thinking if I made the choice. My goal is to game 1440p 144hz in most titles. I dont know if r5 3600 or 3600x will be a better choice in the long term along with a x570 motherboard for future chipset. Also is there any good ram at 3200hz like corsair vengeance. Should I keep what I have or go to amd and get a future proof computer. Also the motherboard has to a front panel usb c connector. I7 , r7 or r5 3600 or 3600x
  2. does the tomahawk max have a usb-c connector. and the ryzen5 3600x is not worth the money with if it is overclocked. I have a Nhs14s cooler.
  3. The other day I was at best buy just looking around and I saw the rtx 2080. I bought without thinking. Now I realize that I have a I5 4690k and I do not know how bad can this cpu bottleneck my gpu. I play at 1440p 144hz. I did overclocked my cpu to 4.4ghz. The question is what cpu to buy along with motherboard( please one with a usb-c connector since one pc tower has it) and ram(at least 16g). I can only afford I5 or ryzen 5 3600x. maybe an I7 non k. which one will give the best performance for my 1440p 144z monitor experience.
  4. Ok but I thought that can damage your cpu if it is not stable. I am noob at overcloking. For what I learned. I need to change two setting in the bios to overclocked. I have msi z97s plus. Is there any more setting to change for a better overclocked
  5. I am new to overclock and Recently I overclocked my i5 4690k to 4.4ghz with voltage 1.200. I try 4.6ghz and I got the blue screen. I set to 4.5 ghz and boot up fine. How do I know my pc is stable at this hgz. I did a prime95 stress test and the highest it got was 81. I am not sure what program to use to see it is stable.
  6. Well I do want go performance that can last me for another 3 years. I am planning to buy the rtx 2070. I am just not sure about the cpu. Ryzen 7 or I7. I can afford them both. Gaming is my goal but I also do video editing. I also want a motherboard with a usb c connector for my pc tower
  7. Hello everyone. My goal is to game at 1440p 144hz at least medium to high settings. My current rig is: i5 4690k (not oc) gtx 1070 founder edition 16g of ram ddr3 1333hz 1000 power supply msi z97s plus motherboard Fractal design R6 with usb-c connector 240 ssd and 1tb hhd. I am a casual gamer but I do like smoothness and high fps. What do I need to upgrade and what can I keep.
  8. Thank you for the advice. Never done overclocked and I am afraid I will mess it up. Is there an easy guide for it.
  9. I was thinking about the Noctua NH-U14S - Premium CPU Cooler with NF-A15 140mm Fan (Brown) to overclocked the cpu and in the future use it for other cpu intel or amd.
  10. Thank you for your response. Sorry for my mistake. I have i5 4690k and I get cpu idle 40. I was thinking of getting ryzen 7 third gen, but maybe I should wait for a new cpu from intel. If I overclocked, what cooler should I get for this cpu and future one. I have a R6 pc tower.
  11. Hello everyone, first time in this forum. I am thinking about upgrading my current pc, but I am not sure if I should do it i5 4790k (not overclocked) A cheap cooler Msi z97s plus 16 gb ram ddr3, I think running at 1330 gtx 1070 founder edition I have a 4k display but I am planning to buy a 1440p 144hz monitor (any recommendations would be appreciated). Should I overclocked my i5 or get new cpu for better gaming performance and some light video editing??
