  1. based on what? IP address? Really doubt it
  2. I'll just have to make a new account. forgot password to email too. Too many passwords to remember nowadays. Thanks anway
  3. I forgot my original password. Anyway to reset the password? Thanks
  4. How do you mix the paste that is in the tube back together?!
  5. > Is it ok to use a Artic Silver Arcticlean thermal paste cleaning kit from 2007? It's this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Arctic-Silver-ArctiClean-Material-Purifier/dp/B000BKP306 > What about Artic Silver 5 from around 2006? Might have another from 2012... how about that one?
  6. He kept to his word. He photographed it all. The front of the card. The rear. The side. The package process. The final box. He put the GPU inside a box it seems (didn't show that part) and that box went inside another box with bubble wrap. The photos aren't the best. But he did it. Here. I will show you the photos he sent me today except the final photo that has my address on the box. He sent one of the rear but as it has the serial number on it (not sure if that can be misused) I won't show it. Have to say though It is one ugly tacky looking card. Reviews state the PCB is huge and the heatsink too so apparently it runs super quiet. Which is going to be incredible coming from a dodgy (noise wise) 7870 that made LOTS of sound including a resonating shroud that made a buzzing sound. This MSI card also apparently runs super cool. Which is not something AMD are known for. So looks like I got an awesome card as long as it works. >>>> Is it dangerous to show a serial number from a pc part online? > He claims the bag the GPU is in in the photo is an anti static bag that came with his 5700 XT. But looking at YouTube video unboxings shows the standard metallic somewhat shiny grey bag. >>>> Any ideas? Ah I zoomed in on a photo he had uploaded for the listing as I remember spotting a GPU PCIE 4.0 box in it the other day. Realised it's a nitro + card. Watched an unboxing video of it and low and behold it is indeed the antistatic bag. How odd sapphire would use a bag that looks like this:
  7. None of those state version numbers. And I very much doubt that 2018 is the last time they updated this game. The ice worm is just an update. Not a game version number.
  8. Anyone know where I can find info on the latest version of Subnautica? Unlike most software there is no version history info nor current version info. Are there regular updates and fixes for this game? I know there is an ice worm update but there are no version numbers or anything that I can find. Thanks
  9. The guy I'm buying from has offered to send photos of him packing it and the card itself once it's removed it. He has alredy sent gpu-z photos and hevaen benchmark as per my request (the benchmark I didn't request). He doesn't have the original box but says he will put it in a anti static bag and package it well. So let's see. ''When I am home will show pictures of card in case with windows showing on tv. Also show you when open case and when packaged as well. Hope this helps calm the nerves. Also using app as can get away answering your questions via my phone. Reply'' IF there are any issues as you describe will eBay refund me?
  10. This is for a RX 570. And no it includes fixes that are useful for everyone. Not only a single specific fix that this person said it might do: '' because it only includes a very specific fix that most users wont benefit from''. So I still don't get why this is optional.
  11. But it doesn't just include a single fix look: Support For Borderlands 3 Up to 16 % FPS improvement on the Radeon™ RX 5700 graphics card running Radeon™ Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition version 19.9.2 vs. 19.9.1 drivers.RS-312 Radeon Image Sharpening Now available on Radeon RX 590, Radeon RX 580, Radeon RX 570, Radeon RX 480 and Radeon RX 470 series desktop graphics products for DirectX®12 and Vulkan® applications. Fixed Issues With v-sync enabled FPS may be locked to 30 on some displays set to 75hz refresh rates. System instability may be experienced on some Radeon RX 5700 series graphics system configurations when watching video content in a web browser. Audio for clips captured by Radeon ReLive may be corrupted or garbled when desktop recording is enabled. Radeon Settings may list core clocks as not available with some Radeon RX 5700 series graphics system configurations. Enabling Enhanced Sync may cause game, application or system crashes on Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products.
  12. Just did. Doesn't say why that one is optional.
  13. One says optional the other doesn't. Why does this say optional? Normally it's BETA and stable release to choose from right?
  14. if it works? Now I'm scared..... If you zoom in on the thumbnail previews, you can just about make out that the card is photographed in a system running connected to a display mid game... in various photos.
  15. Update: Just won an ebay auction for this: MSI Radeon RX 570 4GB Gaming X £86 including delivery. What do you all think?
  16. Oh wait turns out the 7870 was a HIGH END card back in 2012. Update: Just won an ebay auction for this: MSI Radeon RX 570 4GB Gaming X £86 including delivery. What do you all think?
  17. Why you bringing nvidia cards into this? ''Are you saying that a 280x/380x is as powerful as a rx 470?''
  18. This is EXACTLY what I was just about to post to that guy. I was gonna say how TF is a RX 470, a mid range card from 2016, the same in power as a 7870 mid range card from 2012?!!?!?! Are you saying that a 280x/380x is as powerful as a rx 470?
  19. Also I have been told that older AMD cards run hot so instead to get a Nvidia. Anyone got any recommendations? Ideally I want to spend £85 or less than. I want it to be more powerful than my 7870. When I played COD WWII with the 7870 the vram really limited what settings I could use. And the 7870 ran loud all the time when gaming as I guess it was 100% load all the time and perhaps it's true that older AMD gpu's run hotter. Even though it's only temporary, I still want a good replacement card in the meantime. Thanks
  20. How true is this: Posted November 18, 2018 Playing at 4k also puts more stress on the GPU, just like running a lower end graphics card. CPU load is based on framerates. Also it's super not better card less CPU load. Better card = higher framerate = higher CPU load. You can see this because when you get better GPUs you have to increase settings and resolution to take load off of the CPU. At the same settings and resolution, a better card will put more strain on the CPU as it tries to keep up with the GPU. So for example when we're tlaking about RX 580 vs RX 570 with a 3570, both cards are aimed at 1080p high/ultra settings. However the RX 580 is more likely to run above 60fps, which the 3570 is incapable of doing, so the 3570 will chug and cause stuttering. However the RX 570 will likely sit more around 50-60fps which is more comfortable for the 3570, making the GPU the bottleneck and avoiding the stutter associated with CPU bottlenecks. I had this exact experience going from my 780ti to my 1080 with a 3570k.
  21. What about that post I copy and pasted from another thread on this site from 2018?
  22. ''Oh yes, sorry. Sometimes after I open my notifications if it's after the first 3 I don't see it always. The 470 is a good option. Modern, lower power requirement, decent price. A 980ti would be good as well and quite a bit more powerful but for the overall investment into the system a 180 britbux gpu really isn't worth it. A 470 will accomplish the same goal of a decent 1080p machine.'' Kinda contradicts. 470 only slightly better then today it is a good fit? What about a RX 580 or RX 570?
