  1. So I tried disconnecting the monitor from the power like 10 mins and resetting defauls via OSD. Having the 74Hz config via HDMI and resetting via the OSD didnt reset the refresh rate config to 60, it still was 74 so not sure if the config was on the monitor. Still weird.
  2. So I tested the overclicking via HDMI and i got 74. And I did it through Nvidia control panel and yes it was really easy and SAFE due to the testing screen that will roll back in case you cant press ok. But still I cant figure out why DVI-D will not get detected. The cable is OK, the port is OK otherwise I would not be getting any image before loading any SO.
  3. So I tried the hd 4670 and it would not detect the DVI-D input. Then switched to another hd where I have another copy of Windows and it would do the same, DVI-D would show bios (but super low res) and when windows is loading it will go black and say that there is no signal. So i dont understand where the config is. Because I switched hard drives. Or its in the GPU or its in the Mobo ?
  4. This monitor has 3 inputs, DVI-D, HDMI, VGA. Now i am using HDMI so I can boot and stuff. But i cannot get the DVI-D input detected.
  5. I have now installed an old Radeon HD 4670 to see if it detects the DVI-D input. Why would Ubuntu try to set the panel to 80hz? I mean i can see stuff in the bios until I load and O.S
  6. Its good to know that, next time I will try that. Thank you very much!
  7. Well not in the way that CPUs and GPUs would. You can increase the amount of Hz it will display. Mine worked fine going from 60Hz to 75Hz. I just dont know how to go back since I cannot get it detected.
  8. So I tried to overclock a LG 23EA53 from 60 hz to 75 hz and it worked. I used: Custom Resolution Utility 1.2.6 downloaded from here: http://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-Custom-Resolution-Utility-CRU . But when I tried 80 hz it went black saying what there is no signal and that it will go to energy saving mode. I cant figure out how to go back to normal 60 hz mode. I used the reset-all and restart options from CRU. Also removed battery from Motherboard, and got bios to default. The display wont get detected neither in Windows or Ubuntu. But the weird thing is that I will display image until it loads any of the O.S. I am using a GTX 970. Other weird thing is that CRU is detecting the monitor i think. But not Nvidia Control Panel or Windows. I am using HDMI right now. I dont know whether the display config is saved in the OS,the GPU,the BIOS or in the display itself because i cant understand why Ubuntu will try to load last display config that it was 80hz. Thanks in advance
