Thanks for the replies, the performance is fine, but only after the drive stops reporting 100% usage. The issue is that while the drive is reporting this, it is slower than an HDD. Also, Electronics Wizardy, why do you say it's a good chance the drive is bad exactly? From the research I did, it doesn't seem like that's the issue, but i suppose it's still possible.
